Posted by: RnSmokey from Central Texas on 05/17/2013Fine video for about anything you need to do. A pair of these in an SLI configuration would be smoking. I am pushing a pair of 30" 2056x1600 monitors with ease. Never skips a beat.
You won't go wrong with this card especially if you have the base to work with that can keep up. You hook this up to a strained system then I would guess that you may have troubles.

Great graphics card for gaming.

Posted by: nobodyuno from Linthicum, MD on 05/10/2013Great graphics card. However, it's rather large. The built-in fan cover makes space between cards tight. However, I haven't had any issues with overheating even when moderately over-clocked. Also, it's a pretty long card as well. It butted up against the hard drive cables in a mid-size tower case. I actually had to replace a straight SATA hard drive cable with an angled cable in order for it to fit. It was well worth it though.

Good card

Posted by: Georgica from Scottsdale on 04/13/2013After weeks of research I narrowed down my choices to several cards. The price / performance value on this card was by far the best of the bunch. Upon receipt, I was concerned as others mentioned it heft. Knowing how tight the space is in my case, I was genuinely concerned if it would fit or not. No worries, it fit nicely (although juuuust barely).
The installation of the software and drivers was seamless. Honesty I have not upgraded a video card in years and I turned on my system, it worked out of teh box, drivers made it even better. The EVGA Precision X software will give the confident techie the ability to tweak performance all day. If you do not fall into this category, don't worry; it works great as installed.
It turned my older Dell Precision Workstation into a useable gaming system playing Borderlands 2 with reasonably high settings. System is twin 3.72ghz Xeon processors with 3.5gb of RAM so certainly not a powerhouse system but totally playable.

Nice upgrade over gtx 280
4
Posted by: customer25 from PA on 04/09/2013The price was a bit high compared to some of the others on sale but they were all out of stock. But it comes as the sc version with plus 76hz on the clock. My old gtx 280 died and I required a replacement and this seemed like a good mid range card that would be good performance but not overly expensive. In battlefield 3 on a i7 940 ,vista 64, 6gb ddr3 1066 ram pc my old gtx 280 averaged like 30-40 fps and i now get around 90 fps I think i see as low as 70 and high as 100's I never watched it too much.
I just know that since the swap battlefield 3 is like a completely different game. It is much easier to kill opponents and it has reduced those moments where enemies just appear on screen as if out of nowhere. It is shocking how much easier it is to kill someone going from a card that had to run most everything on low settings to one that can run it on high with good fps.
If you have ever seen those videos online where people kill enemies extremely fast it is now like that where before they just seemed to absorb bullets. I assume because my pc was lagging behind on rendering. The installation was simple and be sure to register it online for the warranty.

2 of these = Fast!

Posted by: NoStall from Far Northern Calif. on 03/19/2013Bought two of these in order to upgrade from 2 GTX460's. Planning for future games. The sale price was better then any online or in-store price I could find, with or without a dreaded rebate (I HATE m.i.r.'s). Install was simple and easy: Remember other upgraders and builders - remove the old cards and/or drivers in device manager before shutting down your PC and installing the new card(s).
I can now run all my games on their highest graphics settings (Ultra or extreme depending on game) and have very smooth frame rates.
My last video cards ran a little cooler, but much of their heat was blown into the case; these run a little hotter and louder but the heat is exhausted out the back of the case thus keeping other components cooler.
EVGA's warranty is one of the best. It is the only one I have ever seen that appears to allow the use of after-market cooling devices without outright voiding the warranty. Check it out at their web site.
Have done online research and also used FRAPS to benchmark games and two of these run about as fast or slightly faster then a GTX680, for less money. Hard to beat this kind of performance-per-dollar.
