I just started playing guitar since christmas and I only am learning , but since I put these strings on my classic 1982 hondo-2 les paul guitar that my uncle fathead gave me,, it sounds like real 59, just like jimmy's only better.. Before i put these strings on, it sounded not good, and the plywood inside the guitar would rattle, plus i couldn't learn any chords because i only had the two top strings (the fat ones closest to my face#. I cant believe the difference that having all the strings make! I suddenly have gone from playing smoke on the water and 5 or six to 9 to full-on schredding like steve vai . I already can play almost all of stairway to heaven! Like magic i am ready to start my own band. I just need uncle fathead to fix the blown speaker in thePeavy Bandit. #he blew it out playing his 8track car stereo through it.) I owe it all to these strings, no matter how bad you play, you will get a national tour and big record contract with these strings!

Posted by: Swani2002 from Madison WI on 11/02/2009I have a couple of guitars I don't play much. Last night I changed strings that have been on since 2004, they still looked new! No rust or gunk and sound good. I just wipe them down after playiing and that is it. They extra money is worth it.
