I have 10,000+ 35mm slides that I am digitizing. The scanner
will only do 4 at a time. Being 66 years of age I figure the Epson will wear out or I will expire before I am finished.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

This scanner is just what I was looking for. I have 35mm slides going back to 1958 and needed to transfer them to my laptop. I have scanned over 5000 slides and am up to the year 1984 and am very pleased with the results. One point, a lot of attention needs to be taken with dust on the slides and on the glass of the scanner. One little brush stroke or a puff of air will save time in PhotoShop cleaning the image up.6 out of 6 found this review helpful.

Very nice and very fast. I bought mainly to scan pictures into my back up drive and it does a very good job of this. I also wanted to scan documents so I could edit them. I have yet to find OCR software that would do this properly; although the scanner works well making a jpeg or pdf from a document.
If anyone can recommend a means (software) to do this, please reply. I have purchased Readiris pro 14 but am struggling a bit with its recognition. Not sure if this is a scanner issue or software issue.
I do think the scanner is very good and priced well.5 out of 6 found this review helpful.

Epson V600 Flatbed Scanner Review4

I bought the V600 to scan old photos and some slides. Many of the photos have scratches and some dust specs. After scanning I use Lightroom or Photoshop to finish off the reproduction. The V600 quality is so good, it limits the need for much post-processing of the photos. I have been very disappointed in the ICE software. Overall the quality and price make this product worth the investment.8 out of 8 found this review helpful.
