Just set it in the sun light to charge it up and I put my Ipod or Iphone in it and can listen to music anywhere anytime I want where ever I am. No use for batteries or electricity!!! You do have the choice to use batteries if you prefer but I don't . The best birthday present my husband could have bought me ever!!!!
