    Everybody Loves Raymond: The Home
As the ninth and final season of the hit sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond begins, Frank and Marie reveal to the family that they have had such a great time visiting their old friends that they have decided to purchase a condo in new Jersey. Of course Ray, Debra, Robert, and Amy are overjoyed that their nagging parents will now have to drive eighty-five miles in order to make their children miserable, and when Marie offers to sell Robert and Amy their house for a paltry $26,000 (the same price that she and Frank originally paid for it), the price is too good to resist. Later, the family is somewhat taken aback when Debra expresses sadness that Frank and Marie will live so far away. Upon trying to discuss her feelings with Marie, Debra is informed that she is being overdramatic, and after the parents depart Raymond shows just what a momma's boy he is by continually calling Marie on her cell phone to ensure that all is well. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

    Everybody Loves Raymond: Finale
Ray Romano and his television family bring one of the most popular situation comedies of the 1990s and 2000s to a close with this final episode. "The Series Finale" says goodbye to the Barone family -- sportswriter Ray (Romano), his wife Debra (Patricia Heaton), his brother Robert (Brad Garrett), Robert's wife Amy (Monica Horan), and meddling parents Marie (Doris Roberts) and Frank (Peter Boyle) -- on a warm note consistent with the tone of this long-running series. Ray goes into the hospital for minor surgery on his adenoids, and Debra, Robert, Amy, and Frank get a scare when for a moment Ray doesn't come out from under the anesthetic. Moments later, Ray is fine, and the others decide not to share this news with Ray or Marie, but it soon becomes obvious Debra isn't very good at keeping a secret. The home video release of the Everybody Loves Raymond's final episode also includes the show's original pilot as a bonus. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Posted by: from Bellingham, WA on 09/19/2007Giving comedian Ray Romano a television show was one of the smartest decisions in TV history. The ability to find unique humor in every family situation was the show's specialty. The only thing bad about the 9th season is that it's the last one.
