    One Handy Gadget

Posted by: from Arlington, TX on 04/14/2013This little jewel works like a charm in my Sony NEX 5 camera. It simply does exactly what it is supposed to do: transfer my RAW files to a specific folder on a specified drive (internal or external). Setup is a piece of cake, a no-brainer. Transfer times are very fast. The only thing I wish it could do that it don't,is work within a SD/CF adapter so I could use it in my Canon 7D. I really don't like the idea of plugging and un-plugging CF cards in a camera due to the risk of bending one of the tiny pins within the camera and have an expensive repair on my hands. The Eye-Fi could really shine here if it could pull off this trick, or, if Eye-Fi could make a CF version?

Posted by: from Germantown, MD on 07/25/2012It is easy to set up in both the computer and your camera. I have set it up where you just turn on the camera, and it will automatically transfer photos wirelessly.

    Awesome memory card

Posted by: from Vancouver, Wa on 04/20/2012These are a little high priced but I bought it on sale and I'm glad I did. I don't even need to connect my camera (Nikon DSLR 3100) to my computer or ever even take the memory card out of my camera at all.

    Great for wireless uploads
    5
Posted by: from Pittsford, NY on 01/12/2012This card works just like a regular memory card with the extra plus of being able to wirelessly upload your photos to your iPhone (or similar device) no matter where you are. It's called DIRECT mode and you do not need to be in a wireless spot. It creates it's own wireless spot. So if you are traveling and want to post pictures on Facebook you can transfer them from your camera directly to your phone and then onto FB (relying on your phone's connectivity). Don't need to wait to get home.

Memory Card Great - BestBuy Employees Not As Great
    3
Posted by: from La Mirada on 10/23/2011I went into Besy Buy to purchase a new camera for an upcoming Europe trip. I was helped by a sales person who recommended the NIKON - Coolpix S6200 Black 16.0-Megapixel Digital Camera. She was also going to Europe and recommended the Eye-Fi products. Because I wanted to upload photos while on the trip she recommended the wireless mobile card. She informed me that I could use my Iphone's wireless to upload the photos from the memory card to the internet, which was ideal in case my camera broke, got stolen, or anything else. I was ecstacic! I could use the card without needing a computer and I could have a back-up of my photos! We discussed using the new camera with the new memory card and so I purchased both at the recommendation of the Besy Buy employee. However, I discover that the photos won't wirelessly upload while on my trip. I try to work with Eye-Fi customer service (very helpful and patient), but we cannot figure out why it wouldn't work. I was(am) frustrated, mad, and $80 down all on a memory card that wouldn't work. I return from my trip and discover that the camera the Best Buy employee recommended, is NOT compatible with the memory card. A TIDBIT THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN VITAL AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. So now i have a memory card that I don't need and that isn't compatible with my new camera. Memory card = Great Eye-Fi customer service = Great Best Buy employees = Not informative. If they are going tor recommend a product to use alongside another, they should know if they are compatible.

Does not work right, yet (hopefully)

Posted by: from La Habra Heights, CA on 09/15/2011I got this to transfer photos to my iPad while at events for my business and spent some time on it and could not get the photos to transfer. I have been using these cards for about 3 years now and have had mediocre results. I have worked with support in the past but could not fix the issue I was having. I have not talked to support yet on this particular issue as I have not had the time to spend to do it yet. The technology idea is great but the execution of it lacks in my experience.

    2 Eye-fi cards Dead
    1
Posted by: from SLC, UT on 08/14/2011The cards are great, the cheap USB reader that comes with it (which is necessary to configure the wireless on the card) is a piece of junk. The first eye-fi card I got was DOA right out of the box. The USB reader never powered on when plugged into a PC or a mac. The second card I got the reader worked fine the first 3 times I had to use it. The fourth time it died. No power. Which means my eye-fi card is now permantly in the wireless mode that it was configured in last since I now cannot use the card in the reader. I'm very disappointed in what seemed like a good idea for a product. I'll stick to regular SD cards from now on.

    Sweet addition to my Nikon
    5
Posted by: from Queens NY on 05/08/2011I am using this card with a Nikon D 5000, and an iMac, iPad and iPhone. It works as advertised. I also have apple tv, I can shoot, then view them on the big screen using home shairing. 12 mp upload time is less than 5 seconds per photo, using apple airport extreme wifi. In short it's very cool.
