Posted by: jcjkeith from Douglasville, GA on 05/17/2013I wanted to use it for raw files so the memory card size was not large enough to do so.

Great Idea for transferring photos to PC wirelessl

Posted by: septua from Kissimmee Fl on 05/03/2013No problems. Works just like a normal SDHC card with the added advantage of wireless functionality.
8 Gb is not a disadvantage because the card wipes the oldest pics after downloading once the card is full.
All good.

Perfect combo with a GoPro

Posted by: Ellzworth from Burbank on 04/15/2013I bought this EyeFi SD card to pair with my GoPro Hero 2 camera. It's probably one of the better ways to get almost instant access to your photos from your camera. I use to use EyeFi's App on my iphone but for some reason, it crashes, so I use another handy app called: ShutterSnitch would does the say connectivity as EyeFi's app. So far, no other complains. I just love how much technology is pack inside one of these SD cards. I would have LOVED to see a real CF version of this. I can only keep my fingers crossed for another 4 years and hope that they eventually make a CF Card version.

Really cool gadget

Posted by: GJRWmom from South Carolina on 03/08/2013So easy to set up and use. I was really bad about losing the plug for my other dig camera and then not downloading my pictures. I also like that it saved $200 off the cost of a wifi camera.

Posted by: powermatt from Florida on 11/17/2012I wanted an easy way to make my workflow wireless, and eye-fi's card does that quite well. Transfers are quick and reliable, I can upload to a few online photo services or an FTP server of my chosing, plus my own computer. And that's whether I'm on my home network or tethered to my phone (I'm guessing eye-fi has some kind of proxy server which handles this process). The software does need some help, though, as the user experience is far from perfect. Basic setup is straightforward enough, but the UI is rather messy and not very intuitive in some of the more advanced settings. A techie like myself won't have too much of a problem with it, but inexperienced users might have some issues. One last item of note... this card does not transfer RAW files. If you shoot RAW a lot, you'll need to upgrade to a pro card. That's feature gimping, since it's obviously just a firmware thing, but it is what it is.

Posted by: Randant65 from Houston on 08/01/2012A little on the expensive side, A slow upload if you have a lot of pictures on the card otherwise just fine. Put it in the camera and forget about it. With regular cards, I was removing them from the camera and putting the card into the computer to upload my pictures, now downloads automatically. Just turn on the camera and the computer and they download themselves. You still need to delete the pictures from the card yourself. The later being a good practice between shooting pictures.
