Posted by: from CT on 05/12/2013I didn't believe this was real when I read it. This is pretty amazing as I rarely ever have to take the card out of my camera. The upgrade to the PRO version is a MUST. With out the pro, you need an ACTUAL WIFI network to hook the card and device to. With the PRO version, ad hoc solves this! (AD HOC: Private network between devices) So you can take pictures in the middle of nowhere as long as your device (DROID, IOS, PC) is within 50 ft or so. The only negatives I've found so far... if the camera is turned off during transfer to device there is no way to restart the transfer. This means pulling out the card or plugging in the transfer cable. The only other negative is the fact that my phone battery dies a little quick when it has a ton of pics beaming to it in. That is also just because my phone needs a bigger battery.

Good device but somewhat slow in transferring imag

Posted by: from St. Paul, MN on 04/19/2013Great device that transmits photos to a computer. The camera must remain on to transfer photos and it functions much like Apple's Cloud. It does take a long time to transfer photos.

Posted by: from Arlington, TX on 04/14/2013This is my second Eye-Fi card. This product makes it easy to wirelessly (and quickly) select photos from my camera and put them on my iPad for quickly editing and posting to Facebook. With all the awesome and inexpensive apps for the iPad, it's a lot of fun wirelessly transferring them for quick edits and posting while I'm out and about. In time, the iPad will get even more serious photo editing apps and this tool will be even more useful. Right now I'm also looking forward to being able to share my pictures with clients on the iPad during a shoot, so they can approve of shots without having to look at a tiny LCD screen. This is the most relevant Eye-Fi product to date.

Great idea, good results, bad setup
    4
Posted by: from New York, NY on 01/31/2013The idea is fantastic. The final execution seems to work great (after it was set up). The set-up was painful and time consuming. What I thought would be 30-45 minutes of reading and setting up took 4+ hours and several calls to Eye-Fi technical support. They NEED to make this simpler. I also do NOT like that my pictures have to go through Eye-Fi's servers to synch up to my laptop. That is an ENTIRELY unnecessary step, and it's offensive. My internal wifi network should be the only thing that is needed.

neat concept, no so efficient in real life
    4
Posted by: from Webster Groves, MO on 01/27/2013This is a great idea and I thought it would be neat to be able to have my camera (Nikon D3100) send pictures straight to my computer. The process works fine, but it is very slooooow. I have average internet speed on my home network. Higher speed may work better.
