Not Bad, But Not Good

Posted by: from Dallas, TX on 04/15/2013This game improves on FFXIII in a lot of ways. The combat feels more dynamic, you're no longer restricted by certain characters only being able to learn a specific skill set. You have the freedom to build and level characters the way you see fit. Exploration and Side quests have been improved on from XIII which was a extremely linear game. Where it falls flat though compared to XIII is in the characters. Instead a wide variety of main character you're stuck with two. Two very stereotypical JRPG characters who I found annoying. Another complaint is in the games difficulty. There's two difficulty option, normal and easy. If you're doing side quests you're gonna level up pretty fast and even on normal mode will be having a easy time killing everything. I beat the game 100% and only encountered 1 battle I had difficulty with. Overall, what it comes down to is if you enjoyed the first game then you're probably gonna enjoy this one too. If not this game isn't gonna change your mind.

Posted by: from on 04/14/2013Not a bad game overall, but the game just have a bit of lag compared to the original. Has good music, though some of it doesn't match as it would be expected.

Good sequel for those who have played the original

Posted by: from Sacramento on 04/13/2013"Final Fantasy XIII-2" feel different too the original, but very similar at the same time. The towns have comeback along with their NPCs along with familiar faces. The gameplay difficult is just about right and the visuals are better than the original's textures. This is a must get if you already have the original.

Posted by: from Ks on 08/29/2012Its better then 13, but it has fewer characters and quite a few DLC that is actually grafted into the game before launch. So you will see places on the historia crux(map screen) youll NEVER be able to get to unless you buy that DLC.

Great game overall

Posted by: from St. Paul, MN on 05/23/2012Overall a must have and an excellent game. The Game Guide is HUGE, I bought the collectors edition and the thing is bigger than any text book I ever had in school and is more complicated than my chemistry classes. It will take you FOREVER to complete this game. So a good one to last for a long time if you like these types of games.
