Posted by: from Houston, Tx on 06/16/2013I got the original Fitbit Ultra when it came out. It tracked my steps, stair flights, and sleep. I used it religiously until the casing came apart on me.
I picked up the new Zip recently to replace my Ultra and really like it. I have greater faith in its "clipping" mechanism - the metal shouldn't fail on me in a year. The Zip doesn't count stair flights like the Ultra did, but since I don't have stairs where I am now, there was no need. The Ultra tracked my sleep and the Zip does not. But I already know I don't get enough sleep :)
My steps and activity level were all I needed to track and that makes the Zip perfect for me. I also like that I could get it in a bright color (which is easier to find when I leave it somewhere).

Posted by: Prettibyrd from Pleasanton, CA on 06/12/2013If you're serious about becoming active, it's a great investment. It allowed me to see that I wasn't getting 10,000 steps in a day on any given day! So I need to increase my activity level, shows progression

Simple & user friendly-kids can read it

Posted by: from Duluth, MN on 06/11/2013I bought the FIT BIT to satisfy my own curiosity on how much mileage I was putting on doing household chores on any given day. It turns out it is a fair amount. I rarely hook it up to my computer to track my progress toward any goals etc...I just view my mileage while home, compared to running errands etc...It has way more potential than my purpose. I was amazed it came out of our HE front-load washer & dryer still attached to my shorts & working like a charm.

Great value and quite easy to use

Posted by: scorpiololli from Haslett, MI on 06/10/2013I have been wearing inexpensive pedometers for at least 5 years so that I can monitor the numbers of steps I take on a daily basis. The fact that this syncs and can keep track constantly is wonderful. Additionally I like the fact that the food/activity/hydration log work in conjunction with the steps monitored......all in all I think this is a great value and well worth the cost.

Posted by: walkinfool from michigan on 06/08/2013I am not computer literate, but "syncing" my Fitbit to the computer was simple. I'm able to track how far I walk each day and compare one day or week to another. Fitbit is so much fun!

Great Product

Posted by: britie27 from St. Joseph, MO on 06/04/2013I love this product! It has been an amazing eye opener for me. I work from home and do online school which makes my lifestyle more sedentary than I would like it to be. The Fitbit zip has been an awesome motivator to keep me aware of my daily activity and to motivate me to reach my goals and keep active. The device itself is very accurate. As soon as I was able to put it on I had to count my steps and compare and it was always dead on. I took it for a walk and noticed the miles it calculated was a little less than the miles my Runkeeper app detected, but it wasn't enough to matter to me. I have also since updated my stride lengths on my Fitbit profile so it may be more accurate now. Obviously this device is just for tracking steps, distance and calories burned. It won't track your movement during workout such as cycling, yoga, etc because it tracks steps, not movement. I really love that Fitbit devices are able to be synced with so many awesome fitness apps, it is a major perk of this product. I have read reviews about problems with changing the screen. It has to be tapped, not touched. I have never had a problem with it. The device itself is very small, not much bigger than a quarter, it fits very snug into the clip and the clip is very tight so it stays put, which makes me less afraid of losing it. Overall, this is a great activity tracker and I highly recommend it.

Great for losing weight

Posted by: Jamsd from Fort Worth, TX on 06/04/2013This is a great way to keep track of calories and exercise. I have lost 5.5 pounds in 4 weeks using the Fitbit. I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to be conscientious about how much they are eating and needs a little motivation to get off the couch.
