Manic: Paul Gross (vocals, keyboards); Zane Smythe (guitar, keyboards); Tony Hajar, Ryan Greene (drums).Issued in early 2007, this EP by the Los Angeles-based alternative-rock band Manic serves as a potent sampler of the group's moody sound. While "Chemicals for Criminals" is a full-blown rock tune marked by frontman Paul Gross's expressive shouting, "Mr. Evans" conjures up a much more subdued vibe, revealing a considerable Radiohead influence.
