Synopsis

This action film, directed by Pierre Morel (Taken), concerns young CIA agent James Reece (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) who has a cushy day job but dreams of an exciting life in the field. When the agency offers him his first big-time assignment, James must team with crazed lone wolf Charlie Wax (John Travolta) to stop a terrorist bombing plot. FUN AND ENTERTAINING!

Posted by: from Dallas on 08/24/2010This film won't win any awards, but it is the most entertaining film I have seen in several years. I knew nothing about it and had barely even heard of it before watching, but boy was I surprised. Everything from the humor to the car chase scene is tops and will keep you involved. The plot, while a bit shallow, is somewhat believable, but who cares. It's a fun movie. See if you can catch the subtle reference one of Travolta's classic films. I laughed my a__ off. If you like action and humor, you gotta see this. And don't forget to watch the Special Features. They are especially interesting.

"Royale"ly cheesy

Rhys-Meyers doesn't fit the part or the movie and it was painful to watch him try. (Could have probably given it a 4 star without him). Good movie for Travolta fans but don't expect anything else.

Fun and Satisfying

Notice a few "subtle" references to PULP FICTION, and watch him bring Rhys-Myer (SP?) from young, naive agent in waiting to full on operative! Great entertainment, not too long, and nice ending. Definite watch!

PULP FICTION WAS GREAT BUT FROM PARIS WITH LOVE WAS THE BEST TRAVOLTA MOVIE BY FAR. HE PLAYS A HELL OF A UNDERCOVER AGENT. IF YOU ARE A FAN OF TRAVOLTA YOU MUST GET FROM PARIS WITH LOVE. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.
