The Fugitive: Search in a Windy City
Pat Hingle guest stars as Mike Decker, a Chicago newspaper columnist who has always believed in the innocence of accused murderer Richard Kimble (David Janssen). Managing to make contact with the fugitive Kimble, Decker agrees to mount a widespread search for the elusive One-Armed Man (Bill Raisch) who actually committed the murder. The fly in the ointment is Mike's alcoholic wife Paula, whose reckless behavior may end up betraying Kimble to his relentless pursuer Lt. Gerard (Barry Morse). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The Fugitive: Where the Action Is
Using the alias "Jerry Shelton", Kimble (David Janssen) goes to work as lifeguard at the Nevada gambling resort run by a tough customer named Danny Polichek (Telly Savalas). While thus employed, Kimble catches the eye of Polichek's spoiled daughter Chris (Joanna Frank), who ever since her mother's death has gone out of her way to humiliate her father in public. Now Chris intends to raise some hell with the reluctant Kimble--knowing full well that Polichek has enough power and influence to slice the hapless lifeguard into tiny pieces. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The Fugitive: Angels Travel on Lonely Roads: Part 1
In the first episode of a two-part story, Kimble (David Janssen) is forced to go on the lam again when he is recognized in a Nevada gambling emporium. En route to California, Kimble makes the acquaintance of feisty nun Sister Veronica (Eileen Heckart), who agrees to provide him safe passage through a police dragnet if he'll repair her wreck of a car. This very odd couple then embarks on a series of strange adventures, beginning when Kimble goes to work for a cheap chiseler named Chuck Mathis (Albert Salmi). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The Fugitive: Rat in a Corner
Working at a store under the alias "Dan Crowley", Kimble (David Janssen) is on hand when two-bit thief Herbie Grant (Warren Oates) is shot while holding up the place. Hiding out from the authorities, Herbie begs fellow fugitive Kimble to help clear him of other crimes of which he has been wrongfully accused. But Herbie's sister Lorna (Virginia Vincent) coldbloodedly demands that Herbie be turned over the police--and threatens to reveal Kimble's true identity if he refuses. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    The Fugitive: The End Game
Recognizing the man in a picture snapped by a sidewalk photographer as Richard Kimble (David Janssen), Lt. Gerard (Barry Morse) rushes to Chicago in hopes of finally capturing the fugitive. Seeking a hideout, Kimble takes refuge in the home of two crotchety middle-agers named Jake (John McGiver) and Sam (John Fiedler), who by a strange coincidence are in the middle of a lengthy debate over Kimble's innocence. Legendary sportscaster Chick Hearn appears as a TV newscaster in this semi-comic episode, which brings the first season of The Fugitive to a close. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The Fugitive: Taps for a Dead War
He may be calling himself Bob Davies, but Richard Kimble (David Janssen) is recognized as fugitive from justice by a fellow Korean war veteran, Joe Hallop (Tim O'Connor). Unbeknonst to Kimble. Hallop had saved his life during the war--only to be crippled and disfigured in the process. Out of gratitude, Kimble tries to help Hallop put the pieces of his life back together...little realizing that the embittered veteran has a few sinister plans of his own. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The Fugitive: Angels Travel on Lonely Roads: Part 2
In the conclusion of a two-part story, Kimble (David Janssen) continues his westward journey to California in the company of the redoubtable Sister Veronica (Eileen Heckart). Along the way, the mismatched pair runs afoul of some motorcycle punks, and have another run-in with crooked Chuck Mathis (Albert Salmi), during which they find a new ally in the form of Chuck's sister-in-law Janet (Ruta Lee). Throughout this picaresque adventure, Kimble tries to figure out a way to persuade Sister Veronica from renouncing her vows and turning her back on the Church--while simulatenously avoiding arrest at every turn. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    The Fugitive: Garden House
Now travelling under the name "Sanford", fugitive Richard Kimble (David Janssen) takes a job at the Long Island estate of wealthy Harlan Guthrie (Robert Webber). It doesn't take Kimble long to figure out that Guthrie only married his long-suffering wife Ann (Peggy McCay) for her money, and that his new boss would rather dally with Ann's younger sister Carol (Pippa Scott). What no one knows is that Guthrie is planning to murder his wife--and pin the blame on Kimble. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    The Fugitive: Bloodline
Fugitive Richard Kimble (Richard Kimble) takes on a new alias, "Dick Lindsey", and a new job as handyman at the Bodin-Russet dog kennels. Owner Max Bodin (George Voskovec) is thinking about selling his operation, which greatly pleases his greedy daughter-in-law Cora (Nancy Malone), who has always despised both Bodin and the dog-breeding business. So anxious is Cora to get beyond Bodin's reach that she wihholds some crucial information about a prize breeding dog--an act of selfishness which could prove fatal. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    The Fugitive: Storm Center
Working at a Florida boat yard under the alias "Larry Phelps", Kimble (David Janssen) is approached by Harry Montjoy (Dennis Patrick) and Marcie King (Bethel Leslie), who are fleeing from the authorities after pulling off a stock swindle. With a hurricane looming on the horizon, Kimble refuses to help the couple escape to the Florida Keys--until Marcie, who recognizes Kimble and has long despised him, threatens to reveal his identity. Though this episode received a considerable amount of publicity for touching on the then-taboo subject of abortion, the "money scene" was the climactic storm sequence, a special-effects tour de force that warranted a two-page photo spread in TV Guide. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    The Fugitive: Somebody to Remember
Posing as "Johnny Sherman", Richard Kimble (David Janssen) befriends his fellow worker Gus Priamos (Gilbert Roland), who manages to learn Kimble's true identity as a fugitive from justice. Upon finding out that he has but a short time to live, Gus volunteers to pose as Kimble to throw Lt. Girard (Barry Morse) off the trail. This Gus does not out of friendship, but to make an impression on his much-younger girlfriend Sophie (Madlyn Rhue)--who up till now has proven mighty difficult to impress. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    The Fugitive: The Homecoming
Kimble (David Jansen) takes on the alias "David Benson" when he goes to work for Allan Pruitt (Richard Carlson) and Pruitt's second wife Dorina (Gloria Grahame). At the same time, Mr. Pruitt's troubled daughter Janice (Shirley Knight) returns home from a long hospital stay, having suffered a nervous breakdown after a child in her care was killed by her pet dog. Resenting Janice's presence, Dorina devises an elaborate scheme to drive the girl insane--and when Kimble tries to help Janice, Dorina adds him to her list of victims. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    The Fugitive: Never Stop Running
Now working as an ambulance driver and using the handle "Doc", Kimble (David Janssen) is approached by a desperate married couple (Wright King, Joanna Moore) seeking help for their ailing son (Michel Petit). It soon develops that the "couple" are actually the brother and wife of kidnapper Ralph Simmons (Claude Akins), and that their "son" is actually a kidnap victim suffering from hemophilia. Though Kimble may be able to stop the captive boy's bleeding, will he be able to save his own life once his usefulness is at an end? ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The Fugitive: Flight from the Final Demon
Working as a masseur in a health club, fugtive Richard Kimble (David Janssen)--alias "Al Dexter"--is recognized by Sheriff Bray (Carroll O'Connor), who intends to use Kimble to advance his own political ambitions. At the same time, coworker Steve Edson (Ed Nelson), who has just been acquitted on a murder charge, offers to help Kimble escape--but there's a curious price tag attached. This is the famous episode in which Kimble itemizes his "rules of escaping detection". ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    Great Show

Posted by: from Elgin, SC on 02/10/2008The Fugitive is a great show from the past that I always wonder why they never re-run it. Their are a lot of great sceens and actors that make the show great. The old sceens brings up the days that I grew up in when I was young. I did not fully understood TV in those days but I remember a little bit about watching this one and wanted it to come out on DVD. You cannot go wrong with this one. The price is high but I still bought it.

    A "Must Buy"

Posted by: from on 10/23/2007Great quality with sound and picture considering this TV show was aired in the mid 60's. ..........The "Fugitive" TV series is one of the best produced shows to date. With 4 plus seasons, the overall plot is so much better developed than the movie. David Janssen (Richard Kimble) actually decided to quit the series since the filming was so demanding and intense - thus bringing the series to conclusion. Buy it and enjoy.
