Entry level machine. . . but it's a GE!

When they took the box off I was surprised how "low budget" the dishwasher looked. Basic controls, which I anticipated, looked cheap.
No sound insulation. We took the sound blanket off the old machine and put it over the mew one. Inexpensive way around the problem.
Once installed it "fit right in" with the other appliances and looks fine.
It works great.
Bottom line. . . for a vacation home setting where it will have light use only, it's the perfect machine. I can't image it lasting too long with heavy use. As I said, it's an entry level machine.

dishwasher is 4 years old. no longer turns on. worked pretty good for a while it lasted, although the detergent dispenser would frequently get stuck and not open during washing which meant that after each cycle, I would have to check the dispenser and re-run the washer if it didn't dispense, wasting water and soap and electricity and time. This is a good dishwasher if you get a cheap replacement warranty and its for a rental house for someone else to use. Other than that, I wouldn't touch this tin can with a ten foot pole in my own house. But for less than 300 bucks, what do you expect?

We had this installed about a year ago in a foreclosure that we bought that had the appliances removed. It has lasted well for being a cheaper model and works well for our simple needs. It might not hold up well for a larger family that runs the unit daily, but has been great for just my husband and I. I think this is a great model, especially if you can get it under $300 during the sales.
