Posted by: clothdiaperingmama from Ft. Worth on 06/14/2013The barrel is really big. The knobs & options are easy to figure out. You can chose ANY size of load or let the machine do it for you. Clean & simple.

Posted by: Pezaz from Chantilly, VA on 06/14/2013We purchased model because it allows the user to manually set how much water is used to clean our clothes. We found that more water is better for removing dog hair. And we have plenty of that on our clothes, sheets, etc.

disappointed in GE

Posted by: notmybestbuy from Boston on 06/10/2013i had this machine, not even a yr and geek squad had to fix it twice after the spinner broke. The first time, they didn't put the hose back on tight and flooded my rugs, now the machine doesn't squeeze the water out the clothes and since they so called fixed it, not only is the spin cycle extremely loud pieces of something is chipping off the machine. I have to do the spin cycle three times
As for the water levels, it's best to put every load on super or there's barely enough water to get them wet, never mind was them. When washing, the clothes are gently turned back and forth. i can hand wash better than that.
I had a second hand GE machine for eight yrs before it started giving problems. GE should be ashamed of themselves and recall this defective product..

It looks nice and all, but it doesn't washes clean

Posted by: Vivabrandon from Philadelphia, PA on 06/09/2013The slow agitator threw me off a bit, but I still thought it was going to make my clothes as clean as the old washer. The clothes look clean, but the armpits of my son shirts still smelled. In addition, it took me two drain and spin cycles in order to drain the machine and water from the clothes. Of course I used "he" detergents. I will pour more next time and see what happens.

Posted by: danielsan99 from Omaha, NE on 06/03/2013Needed a new washer to replace one that was 14 years old; didn't want to spend a lot of money, but needed quality. Looked at Best Buy online first and then went to store; asked the sales person several questions and was happy with all that this one had to offer.

Posted by: 190steve from sf bay area on 05/31/2013It"s a basic washing machine that does the the job. Not a beauty queen like some of the expensive models. Seems to do the job well.

Do Not spend your hard earned money on this washer

Posted by: SieSie from Sparks, NV on 05/24/2013This washer has a sensor for water saving. Sounds great right??? It isn't. When I put a full load in the washer it will not fill up with water. I get maybe 2 inches of water on a super setting. My clothes do not even get wet. I have had to rewash my clothes several times. Also when I use the soak mode to soak my whites it barely fills up with water. How can you soak your clothes if they are not submerged in water? I am so upset that I wasted $500 on this piece of garbage. I posted pics that show the amount of water I get on a super setting. And this is a 3.9 cubic foot wash basin.
