Posted by: CTDaddy from Greenwich,CT on 04/29/2013Needed to replace an older G.E. microwave of the same size and this unit fit perfectly. This unit is louder and has a cheaper feel to it. The door especially feels cheaper. I hope it lasts more than a year based on other reviews. Was cheaper to buy this new one than have the older one serviced. We shall see how long it lasts. It does have one touch features like lots of microwave ovens have. To bad the wall plates are not all standard. Had to remove the old one and install the new one, but luckily the new one came with the microwave. Got the best price from Best Buy online and picked up in store.

terrible product, terrible customer service

Got an exchange and they still haven't installed it. They wanted to come by at 10:00pm last night to install. Are you kidding me? Called customer service this morning was transferred 5 times before getting to the person I had asked for. Terrible product, terrible service. Done with Best Buy.

Worked great, looked great... although just like half the products nowadays, it didn't last much more than the warranty. Called GE...'what customer service?' never made to customer service, each number they gave me lead me back to an independent service center. Then they wanted to charge me just under $80 plus parts and labor. Ridiculous! I can buy a new one for that. Unfortunately this is the 2nd GE item to have this issue, the other was a dishwasher. I did like GE, but this is officially the last thing i will buy from GE and of course never recommend it again.

It does the job but it is extremely loud!

Posted by: jlmcfu from Iowa on 04/25/2012It is very loud when operating. The fan is loud and it vibrates when in use. This is when the exhaust fan is off! When using both the microwave and the exhaust fan at the same time it really limits the discussion in the room until it is done.
