This Karaoke machine was a Christmas gift for our 8 year-old. She absolutely loved it! It was easy to use, and the sound quality was great, but after 3 months the monitor stopped working. I had purchased the additional 1 year warranty for it, which was helpful when I returned it and found out that the manufacturer's warranty is only 30 days. I also learned that once you redeem your purchased warranty for a product, that warranty is no longer valid for the replacement. You must purchase a new warranty. This information is listed in the pamphlet I was given when I purchased the extended warranty so I can not say I was not informed. I just hope that the replacement doesn't go out on us because I didn't purchase another warranty.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I like it for short term use. I can quickly plug it in and play a karaoke disc when I forget some words to a song or if I want to quickly review a song before a performance. I do have two other larger karaoke machines; but I like this one to put in a corner or to move about the house or outside, when needed.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

It broke with light use after 2 1/2 months1

I bought this karaoke machine for my daughter for Christmas. She played with it a lot for a few days, then only occasionally.
In early March, it suddenly decided to stop playing CDs mid-song. Sometimes it spins them, sometimes it doesn't; but either way no music occurs. This was a nice touch, as it was her birthday and she was trying to sing along to some new karaoke CDs.

Bought this as a gift for my kids for Christmas. I had an older GPX model that was very similar in features, size and looks that we used for 3-4 years until it finally gave out. Seeing this one and being pleased with our older one I decided to give it a try. The first time we opened to use it the music kept cutting in and out while you were singing and the microphone just didn't work that well. Overall the quality and feel was much cheaper and it did not perform at all like the older model. I decided to return it and probably will not be buying another GPX. Unfortunately it seems like the quality of the product is just not what it used to be.4 out of 4 found this review helpful.

Overall the machine is fun and serves its intended purpose. It's economically built with a pressboard back that is less than attractive. The VGA monitor is disappointing as It is small and hard to read. For the price, the unit is satisfactory and is fun family entertainment.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Not a fancy machine but if you are a casual karaoke user then this machine is great. if you really into karaoke then you will probably want a higher end machine but for the average person this machine works great.4 out of 4 found this review helpful.

I understand that you get what you pay for, and I wasn't expecting anything great. But I'd like this Karaoke equipment to last at least a year. As soon as I took this out of the box I knew it would not last 10 uses. The knobs are so cheap I was afraid to touch them. I think the microphone weighed as much as the unit.
Anyway I decided to pay a bit more and purchased a unit that integrates the television screen and speakers and simply sits on top of my cable box and has a remote to choose songs and adjust volume, etc.

Granny wanted a Karaoke machine to practice music for church and sing for fun. She says it is perfect for this and that the machine is not too large or heavy for her to move around. She also said she has used it to just listen to CDs. and that the sound is not wonderful or perfect but it is good enough for her!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.
