She uses it to play cds and it sounds really good. The mic seems good, for an at home type of thing, but the holder has broken already...it was a little thin, but all around we are very happy with it!

It was easy to use, and the sound quality was great, but after 3 months the monitor stopped working. I had purchased the additional 1 year warranty for it, which was helpful when I returned it and found out that the manufacturer's warranty is only 30 days. I also learned that once you redeem your purchased warranty for a product, that warranty is no longer valid for the replacement. You must purchase a new warranty. This information is listed in the pamphlet I was given when I purchased the extended warranty so I can not say I was not informed. I just hope that the replacement doesn't go out on us because I didn't purchase another warranty.

I can quickly plug it in and play a karaoke disc when I forget some words to a song or if I want to quickly review a song before a performance. I do have two other larger karaoke machines; but I like this one to put in a corner or to move about the house or outside, when needed.

It broke with light use after 2 1/2 months

In early March, it suddenly decided to stop playing CDs mid-song. Sometimes it spins them, sometimes it doesn't; but either way no music occurs. This was a nice touch, as it was her birthday and she was trying to sing along to some new karaoke CDs.
I will not be purchasing anything from GPX again.

I had an older GPX model that was very similar in features, size and looks that we used for 3-4 years until it finally gave out. Seeing this one and being pleased with our older one I decided to give it a try. The first time we opened to use it the music kept cutting in and out while you were singing and the microphone just didn't work that well. Overall the quality and feel was much cheaper and it did not perform at all like the older model. I decided to return it and probably will not be buying another GPX. Unfortunately it seems like the quality of the product is just not what it used to be.
