Posted by: Rockyann from Shenandoah County, Virginia on 05/25/2013Instead of using the mount on the dash (which had too much glare and distracting background) it was used between the two front seats by laying it in one of the trays. The base was flexible and contoured to the opening. The backing was NOT taken off and it was NOT attached permanently. This way the whole unit was taken out of the vehicle and taken in the house until the next time it will be needed.

It works very well, mounts the Garmin lower than the window allows, and does not move whole driving! It fits well in my Wife's '09 Sebring but would not have a good place to work in my '95 T-Bird. The difference is not the device but the design of the dash board. If you have a long, relatively flat dash this product will serve you well!
