Purchased this based on the reviews to replace our 5 year old TomTom One. Used it for a driving trip to Florida for spring break 2013. First the good: the 5 inch display is great, easy to set up, love the lane assist feature! Now, the not so great: it lags when you miss a turn and it has to re-calulate-up to 45 seconds-we missed the next turn! There is a lack of display features, mainly it does not show the remaining mileage for your trip, only remaining miles until your next turn. It required several updates right out of the box which took forever to download and install. The Garmin software is not very user friendly.
I returned it after our trip, and purchased the TomTom 50M. Will be using the TomTom on a short trip this weekend, so we see how that performs.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

The map has been updated and several of the roads are still not correct and the destinations have been in excess of a mile, before and the rest is about 90% correct. But when I map it on my phone it is correct 99% of the time.
The GPS unit is easier to use then my phone sometimes.0 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Great product. Even when I don't follow the guide, the machine alters to where I have made a change. I've never used one of these before and love it. I have no sense of direction and it can get me home! Very happy.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

The only problem I see is the screen is affected with sunlight. There should be a way to filter sunlight on the screen so it can be seen better during daylight hours.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I just bought a new car and didn't want to pay the price of a Nav system and was not impressed with the Nav systems I had seen in other cars. The price was right for this which I will not be using much but on the first trip I took with it recently, it performed flawlessly and better than the in car Nav systems I have seen.4 out of 4 found this review helpful.

It's pretty cool, but I have used it a few times when I knew where I was going and the way it directs you to go are not the fastest way. It also takes you on some back roads instead of the main roads. Over all its a pretty good device0 out of 0 found this review helpful.
