    Product Features

    Our installation professionals will:

    Conduct a pre-installation details walk-through upon arrival at your home
    Additional charges for any required add-ons will be quoted by the installer prior to any work being done.

    Set up and configure one (1) customer-supplied wireless router. (Note: We recommend an N router for optimal performance. If you don't have a router or wish to upgrade, your Agent can offer you special pricing at the time of your service.)

    Establish wireless encryption on the installed router to create a secure network

    Connect up to three (3) wireless components (such as an Internet Connectable TV, TiVO or Blu-ray player) to the wireless home network

    Clean up work area and dispose of boxes, packaging materials and installation debris

    Demonstrate operation of your newly networked devices, review your new digital content capabilities and provide guidance for troubleshooting in the event of a problem

    Approximate time: 1.5 hrs.

    Also included with this service:

    6 months of Geek Squad® network support. Subscription provides access to GeekSquad.com/NetworkMadeSimple portal for tips & tricks and support via phone, online, remote and via service call (in the rare case that issues cannot be resolved remotely)

    Network support may be renewed at the end of the 6-month subscription period for an additional charge

    The following are not included with this service:

    Service does not include hardware, router or wireless adapter. In the event you need additional hardware upgrades or repairs, your Agent may recommend additional services.

    Posted by: from Long beach, ca on 02/22/2013Purchased a slingbox, receiver for it and router at suggestion of BB personnel and indicated TV would be for use outside. First tech set up, but it didn't work outside. 2nd tech said it wouldn't work as wired because the signal would not run outside and said the first tech should have run the signal through the electrical wiring, but didn't have time to do that and scheduled another follow up. Didn't show up for the follow up. Have called several times to get a new appointment scheduled, but nobody will tie records together but a supervisor and the supervisors do not return phone calls.

I needed them to be connected to my existing surround sound speakers along with my TV and CD player. The Geek Squad set up the entire system in less than an hour. Everything works great. It was well worth the money to get the peace of mind that everything would be connected correctly and effeciently by a professional installer.

    Did the job but poor workmanship

    Posted by: from Buffalo, New York on 01/28/2013I was removing my Cable DVR box to downgrade and trying the Roko as an alternative. I also wanted to relocate all my cable, modem etc to one location. The cable had to be rerouted to the new location. The agent took off the crimped cable connector in order to feed it down to the basement and then back up to the new location. However he did not put a new connector on the end of the cable and just stuck the old one on the end. Several days later this faulty connector caused me to question the cable company. I relocated the modem to a good wire with connection and then discovered the broken connector. I also returned the Roko as it did not work out for my entertainment interests.

    Posted by: from Arizona on 12/09/2012I've used the Geek Squad a few times when I don't want the hassle of having to install and configure certain equipment myself, or don't know exactly how to. Each time the person has been professionl and knowledgeable, as well as taking time to explain what they are doing. They call in advance, show up when they say and do their job quickly. They even wear "booties" to cover their (possibly) dirty shoes before they come in the house! I would recommend them even if you didn't make your purchase at Best Buy!
