Took a while....

Posted by: JwcOD from Ohio on 05/17/2013While the consultation was fine, it took three weeks to receive a quote, and that was only after I emailed the technician asking about if I would ever receive it..... Other companies "free" quotes were received in days and they offered more options without having to ask how much longer I would have to wait. For $100, you would think BestBuy woul work harder at getting the information to the customer in a timely fashion.....

We also needed help with speakers that would enable us to use our our various mobile devices, stereo and tv, without relying on cell phone battery drainage (blue tooth). We wanted portability of the good sounding speakers, and also wanted to maximize use of our internet connection. He helped us discover various options out there that we did not know about, as technology changes frequently. We are very happy with the service. He called back quickly and I was able to get an appt with 5 business days.

Consult was a little disappointing

The sales people did not know if the Best Buy Employee coming to our home would bring a computer or how the consult was actually done. We were a little disappointed that the representative arrived with just a pad & pen to record our measurements & items to be purchased. We could not refer to anything visually so it was difficult to see & understand what we were going to purchase. No real follow up after the visit. In addition the estimate provided was ridiculously high- $2,000 itemized for the Geek Squad!!! Yikes that's more than the equipment was going to cost. We paid $100 for the visit which we were told if we had them do the install would be a credit to our purchases & installation. Don't feel this was worth the visit.
