Can I just buy the shield and do it myself?
You could, but it's trickier than it looks. We do these all the time so you can be sure it will be done right.
What will a screen shield protect against?
A screen shield won't help you if your tablet finds itself at the bottom of the pool, but it will protect the screen from scratches and other topical damages. It also helps minimize fingerprints.
Does this price include the cost of the shield?
Nope. The cost of the InvisibleSHIELD is not included.

It took him at least 9 tries and he kept talking to a young co-worker. I finally asked that they stop talking and finish the job. They were both embarrassed. I explained to them that I am in customer-service and if I stopped what I was doing to turn around and chat about non-work items, i would be fired. I don't want them fired, but they just didn't seem to get the concept of doing your job and if it takes 9 tries, then perhaps they should pay attention. I always have a great experience at Best Buy - this was just not one of them.

Better then me

I felt that when I bought a $45 screen protector for my tablet that I would let geek squad do it. It's alittle pricey for someone just to put a screen on but if they mess it up then its their fault and have to replace it. I didn't want bubbles or other imperfections so I went for it. It was almost perfect, no bubbles but a very slight over lap of the screen on the front facing camera. It doesn't block the view at all so it's all good with me. All I would say is inspect the screen and the job they did very close before you leave, it states on the package that you should reposition the screen within 5 min of application so make sure they did it right for you or that thing will become a pricey pain in the butt.

Removes headache of installing shield

Posted by: huskerldf from Chaska, MN on 05/22/2013I have installed one iPad shield on my own, and had Geek Squad install the other. Installing a shield on an iPad is more difficult than on a phone, but it can still be done on your own. The risk that you run in installing your own shield is possibly damaging the shield, and they are expensive to replace. If Geek Squad tears it, they are responsible for the cost of a new one. Other wise, the shield I put on was every bit as good as the Geek Squad installed unit.

Then I could have put the other one one now that I had watched & learned. I bought 2 tablets for my sons, so needed 2 protectors put on.
