We took it to Best Buy the next day and they exchanged it for a new one with out any problems. The new one works fine. I think we will wait a while to update this one until they get this issue fixed.

Posted by: sailon from Gig Harbor, Wa. on 05/04/2013This product is amazing . It does just about everything you could imagine and it is so tiny in size. Fairly simple in design and once you get used to the logical sequence of the buttons it is fairly easy to use.
This product is very versatile and probably capable of profession quality
pictures/ movies. I have seen and taken some fabulous shots with this camera. Amazing memory cards ( tiny and 64 GB, Wow) yield huge record times. No issues with battery life so far, although cold temperatures will shorten run times. There are lots of accessories at
reasonable prices. The only real complaint is that I miss having a small users manual for fast references. Manuals are available on line.
I did notice that the camera battery overheated in the REPLAY mode
and the automatic sensor shuts the camera down to protect itself.
Well worth the price. (bought 2 months ago)
