great phone with a lot of "but..."

Posted by: from Jacksonville,FL on 05/16/2012i've had this phone for well over a year & wanted to wait to give an honest review. this phone reminds me alot of my last car:so much to love about it, and an equal amount to groan over. like the ex, just a beautiful display that is amazing. and like a much pricer IPhone, you can talk & chat or surf at the same time. alot of android apps you have access to but recommend an "app-killer" to save battery life. the bad? battery life is the worst i've ever had. if you run apps/camera for even a short time, you're at 50% battery life quick.the back facing also gets abit toasty as well. internet connection is an equal offender as well. you can be at one spot ,connected @4G speed & not move... next minute =POOF.gone. this is my 2nd TBolt which HTC replaced after 2 months due to this issue. did not help. volume control due to placement tends to jump up & down without touching.call quality is ok. speakphone is horrible. and like the last car, it's about to replaced for something better this weekend....

better than iphone 4 s and amazing phone

Posted by: from on 04/29/2012Ok I am typing this on my thunderbolt. I am a teenager who loves texting ..games and the whole shabang. I was worried that having an all touch phone would be hard to type on but was very happy to find that the letter keys are big and easy to type with. The 4g lte is very fast and makes web browsing easier. I often compare phones to the latest iphone and this one is faster easier to type on and has a better camera. The battery life is a little lacking so.get a car charger. Any complaints about this phone r highly overated.... Overall this is a great phone for the price..let alone any price

So far it works

Posted by: from Lawrencville, NJ on 04/26/2012This is my first smart phone. I've had it for a couple months and so far it works well. It's a little heavy and clunky but other than that I have had not technical issues. The keyboard takes some getting used to.

Disappointed in batter life, some bright spots
2
Posted by: from Akron, OH on 04/23/2012I am a heavy business and personal user of my mobile device. This phone was a trade in for a Samsung Galaxy S. Initially I was impressed with HTC, but the battery life is so bad when you are in an area that doesn't have consistent 4G signal it really hampers my productivity. I can barely leave my desk without the phone plugged in. I was waffling with getting the extended battery for the phone (and then looking like I was walking around with a 20 lbs. brick in my pocket), then the power button also stopped working, thus preventing me from waking the phone from "sleep" mode. Very disappointing to only get 14 months of quality life out of a very expensive mobile device. I would advise against buying this product.

Still learning but fairly easy to use.

Posted by: from Peabody MA on 04/11/2012The Thunderbolt is a really nice phone. The pictures come out nice and it is fairly simple to use. However, the battery life isn't so great. I wish it lasted a little longer. And I don't use it for business. Just personal use, but battery seems to wear down fast.

Posted by: from Dayton Ohio on 03/30/2012Really love this phone. enjoy exploring the apps and playing games. My favorite is the Kindle app. I'm an avid reader and it's nice to have a book handy whenever I have an extra minute.
