HTC - Windows Phone 8X 4G Mobile Phone - Blue (Verizon Wireless) (11 out of 14)
Love this phone. Solid design and style

Posted by: from Knoxville, TN on 02/09/2013This phone defines itself with style and productivity. I can't believe the features this phone packs. The fast processor more than keeps up with my lifestyle. Not too many phone manufactures gives you a choice on color; red, yellow, blue, and black. Holding the 8X is natural while texting my friends. Having kids you can get the WHOLE family, including yourself, in the picture with the front facing camera. Videoing comes with ease with the large screen size and the HD recording is brilliant. Also with the Beats Audio your kids sound like they're with you when on a trip or away at the office and also, Jay-Z sounds like Jay-Z not Jay-Whaaat? The features of the 8X alone changed me from an Android phone to a Windows Phone 8. I can't wait for what HTC can come out with next.

Amazing phone that meets all your needs with looks

Posted by: from Edison, NJ on 02/09/2013This time HTC has done a great job. HTC 8X signature phone for Windows Phone 8 from HTC is one of the best device I have ever bought. It's tremendously fast and has lot's of features: 1. Amazing looks & design. 2. Awesome sound with & without headphones. 3. Tremendously fast 4. Go social at one central hub 5. Crispy screen texture & brightness 6. Power of Windows Live tiles to keep you updated. 7. Battery backup is amazing if the all the emails are not kept as push. 8. Best inbuilt email app so far. 9. Bold solid colors 10. Extremely thin & light yet powerful like a monster Being an Android user for a long time, it's pretty good experience using Windows Phone 8 Live tiles. I am power user, I would say HTC 8X has nailed this this time.

Nearly perfect flagship for Windows Phone 8
5
Posted by: from Iowa City, IA on 02/08/2013I've had tons of phones from Windows Mobile, Apple, Android and Windows Phone, and this is my favorite since my iPhone 3GS years ago. The design is striking and the device has excellent build quality. For my hand size it's perfect (and Windows Phone seems designed to make everything easy to access without having to have fingers like Mr. Fantastic or Mr. Gadget). Beats Audio sounds great, even compared to my old One X that also had Beats. The camera could be better when compared to the iPhone 4/5, Nokia 920 and even One X (even though it has the same sensor), partly because of the limits of the camera software (no panoramic, best shot or HDR modes), but I enjoy the experience of using Windows Phones as a camera with the dual detent shutter and wake-to-camera capability. Overall I highly recommend this phone if you're at all interested in Windows Phone.

Perfect choice for any user
5
Posted by: from Cincinnati, OH on 02/04/2013As a long time Windows Phone user, this was a great upgrade at an amazing price! Physically, the phone is unique both in color and design. It feels great and fits perfectly in the hand. It is built very small and feels thinner than it is. The screen is large but not overwhelming. The only design issue is the placement of the lock button. However, after a few days of use this is not a big deal. The operating system is great. The live tiles really allow for a fully customized phone. Apps are well written and make the phone even better. Many may speak of the lack of apps; but in my opinion, there are all the apps a person would want on their phone. Many apps are just not needed. For example, other phones require apps to read QR codes but Windows Phone has it built in. Windows Phone also integrates social media, email and camera functions into multiple areas of the phone. This makes the phone quick and easy to use. For those coming from Android, iPhone or Blackberry; it will take a few weeks to get used to the Windows Phone operating system but once after that you won't be able to put it down. Also, being a Microsoft product, it integrates Outlook Exchange services perfectly. Just add the email account and the email, contacts, tasks and calendar are synced. As a professional, this is crucial to managing my work on the go. Overall, I am thrilled with the phone and would highly recommend it to any smart phone user.

Sent back the phone twice
1
Posted by: from Portland, OR on 01/29/2013Buying this phone through Best Buy Mobile was very challenging. I got great service in the store but unfortunately, the blue color of this phone is not sold in store for Verizon (despite being the Sample Model). I had to order this phone online. The first phone that I received had a few dead pixels in the screen. Since I had to order the phone on the internet, I had to wait a week to send it back and get another phone. The second phone I received in the mail also had a couple of dead pixels in the middle of the screen. It was a frustrating experience because with each return, I spent about an hour on the phone to explain the situation and organize a reship with Best Buy. Which was compounded with difficulty since they could not ship to store with this phone. Not sure why but I work full time and arranging a home delivery with signature required was extremely difficult. I was supposed to receive a third replacement phone but I guess my 2 hour phone conversation was misunderstood. All and all, I ordered the phone at the end of December and have never successfully been sent a working phone. I have given up and decided to not get a new phone. My four year old phone still works great. I was VERY frustrated with the whole experience and will NEVER order a phone from BBM online again. I need to check the product before it's sent since obviously the manufacturer doesn't have quality control.

Good phone, don't pick blue
3
Posted by: from Seattle, WA on 01/26/2013Overall, this phone is a good phone. However, the corners of the blue color I ordered started to change to black from carrying in jean pockets. I highly recommend this phone, just get it in the black color.

its ok...

Posted by: from Lakewood, CO on 01/25/2013I got this for my daughter and she is the user of the phone, She loved the phone but the first one we got had an issue with the speaker so we had to return it. The second one has already frozen and she brought it to the store and they showed her how to reset it. To be honest the phone is seeming to be a little wimpy and we may have to trade it for another one sooner. Only great thing is Best Buy seems to really be fantastic at standing behind the phone! that much I like.

perfectly sized, sexy looking windows phone

Posted by: from Dover, NH on 01/25/2013Very nice phone when you consider how thin and light it is. It doesn't sacrifice much at all for all this. The only weakness is battery life. You will have to charge this every night. But it has all the latest tech and a good camera for such a thin phone. Windows have made an incredible OS, with features that make iPhones look outdated. However if you're crazy about apps, then this may not be the phone for you.

Amazing WP8
5
Posted by: from USA on 01/19/2013This is an amazing WP8 device. I love my HTC Windows Phone 8x. Its slim, sleek, light, fast, fluid, DEEPLY INTAGRATED, amazing windows account connectivity with services. The few down sides are that the battery is sometimes questionable, when you send videos its really compressed to the point of c r a p, the phone is not main stream so there’s lack of company, apps, developers, fame, and popularity support. Other than that, it is an amazing device and I love it!

Really Cool Phone
5
Posted by: from PA on 01/12/2013So I have had the HTC 8X for almost a week and so far I am really liking it. I do not usually get this enthused about phones but it is super cool . I previously had an HTC droid ERIS that was my first Smartphone. I was happy with HTC and wanted to get another HTC phone. The apps fear is way overblown there are tons of apps and I can get all the podcasts I normally get from iTunes through the XBox. I was also concerned about my google stuff (gmail, calendar, etc) syncing (since it wasn't an Android OS) but it all synced seamlessly. The only glitchy thing so far is I wasn't getting text messages. An internet search reported others experienced this but it just required powering down the phone and back on (after activation it hadn't been powered down) and that immediately fixed it. The battery life is average I would say (I plug in every night but it lasts all day). Although the external speakers aren't Beats Audio (only headsets) the speaker quality is great (I actually haven't tried headsets yet.)
