I bought it two weeks ago. I went into the store with my mind made up to by the Klipsch Icon SB 1, but they were out of stock and I wanted to bring home a sound bar with me that night before my wife changed her mind. Luckily for me the store had one remaining SB 16 in stock and I decided to give it a try without even trying it. Everyone in the house is extremely happy with this purchase. This bar is an upgrade from my old 5.1 Panasonic system and the quality in sound is a big difference. Out of the box set up was just minutes and easy to program with both my Sony Bravia and AT&T UVerse remotes.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Great Alternative to Full Surround Sound5

The Harmon Kardon soundbar is absolutely amazing. We were watching the basketball game and you could hear the high cheers of the cheerleaders and the deep thunk of a bricked shot. It's absolutely amazing. The sub synched so easy and the whole thing was a breeze to set up. If you live in an apartment or would like something close to surround sound without all the wires, I cannot recommend this enough. We are watching the original Hangover, which has an amazing soundtrack and it's like we are back in the theaters watching it for the first time. It took a little bit to synch our TiVo remote, but it worked just fine in the end. Blue shirt review!3 out of 3 found this review helpful.

I was able to set this up in very little time. Was able to transfer the TV audio to the Sound Bar without any problems. Synced the original TV Remote with the Sound Bar, and as a result both the original remote and the Comcast Remote regulate the Sound Bar. It was that easy.
The audio is greatly improved. The Green Power is great; minimizing the power consumption.
For BluRay and Internet Streaming, the Sound Bar puts it out in force.
3-D is my preferred setting.
I have tested other Sound Bars, and am quite pleased with the SB16.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

It's a very very nice system with more boom than you'll ever need!!! The only other system that I've heard that even come close is the Bose system which is way over priced.... And with iheart radio you can turn it in to jammin sterio..... I absolutely love it1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

The SB16 is a nice looking product. It sounds really good. One of the better soundbars that I have listened to. The sales person was nice enough to turn it pretty loud. I'm sure it annoyed quite a few shoppers. in the store, but it gave us a nice feel for it.
The box is HUGE to fit the extremely large subwoofer. It's one of the largest subs I have ever seen. It seems out of place for a soundbar.
The setup was simple with both digital and optical inputs as our TV is driving the sound. It also has other inputs for external connections such as an MP3 or IPod.
The one complaint I would have was that a remote was not supplied with the unit. When you pay $600 for an item I would expect a remote. Fortunately the instruction book had setup instructions for programming your "TV" remote. I put TV in quotes because there is a problem...
You don't always want you TV remote to be in control of the soundbar. In my case the TV decodes and drives the HD sound. So I don't want my TV speakers to have any sound. If you use your TV remote to turn the volume up on the soundbar, you are also turning up the volume on the TV speakers. I wanted separate control so I bought a universal remote.
There is a trick when programming a universal remote and it took me about an hour to figure it out. I have an 8 device universal remote. Surely I could find an open spot. The problem was the buttons would not program correctly. I would program volume up and then program volume down. Afterward, both up and down buttons did the same thing. I almost blew the speakers because it would turn the volume up. When I pushed volume down it kept going up.
The trick was to find a similar device code, like, another TV assigned to a different button on the universal. A TV code on the universals audio button. This way the universals audio button mimicks a TV remote. Then programming by the manual worked. Trust me without doing this step or using your TV controller you will get some funky and very frustrating results. You need to program all options.
Volume up, Volume down, source #Input#, Power and Mute.
Another simple problem that could be problematic was the wireless sub. If you have wifi in you house and it is set for default channel you may have some issues with the wireless sub. The sub has a few settings on the back. You can also research for your wireless router and change the channel. This is probably the better option. You will have much more control.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I bought this sound bar because it looked simple to set up and the price was rite for my budget and plus a 10" woofer "BASS". Set up was easy... hooked up the digital wire from the tv to the sound bar placed sound bar on my tv stand and the sub woofer to the electrical outlet adjusted the easy settings on the woofer and sound bar then enjoyed the sound2 out of 2 found this review helpful.
