Inquired manufacturer as to availability of gasket and blade cone for future reference. They actually sent me both parts, FREE of CHARGE. Great customer service. Takes up only a small area of counter space. Makes a nice alternative to ice cream. No need for sugar or fat. Highly recommend this product.

I'm also a member of Weight Watchers and fruit is a free food. I like the little suggestion/recipe book that comes with it. I talked a friend into buying one. She suggested if you didn't like the flavor of bananas use a little bit of vanilla. You can buy frozen fruit a lot cheaper than fresh and can get a variety all year long.

The directions say to let the fruit sit out & thaw some before putting in the machine, but I sometimes put the fruit in the microwave for a few seconds in order to speed the process up a bit. My only complaint is that a good amount of the frozen fruit stays in the machine, so you need to open the machine up right then & scrape it out.

What an ingenious idea to take frozen fruit, blend it up into a product that looks and feels like soft serve ice cream but is from healthy fruit. It cleans up like a dream and we are nowhere through the different flavors that you can make with this. Going into summer, this will get used several times each week.

They are right about using over-ripe bananas though, you need that extra sweetness otherwise it can be a bit bland. I've tried adding berries, peaches, and pineapple. you need more add in fruit than you think to really taste the flavor without adding sugar, and some frozen fruit doesn't 'smooth out' as well as the bananas do, but its a good healthy alternative when you want to treat yourself. be sure to wait 15 minutes after taking frozen fruit out before using the machine, otherwise its too hard and wont' go thru the machine
