What if I forgot to enter my member ID on an order?

If you placed an order and didn't enter your member ID, you can still receive points for your purchase. Sign in at and select Report missing points. Or call 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289).

I'm having trouble adding my member ID to my account. Can you help me?

If you're having trouble adding your My Best Buy member ID to your account, it could be due to a couple of things:

1. Your member ID can only be saved to one account at a time.

If your member ID is already saved to another person's account (e.g., your spouse's), or to another account of your own, you must delete it from that account first. Go to My Account to add or remove your member ID.

2. Some older member IDs contain fewer than 10 digits.

If your member ID is one of these, you'll need to add zeros in front of the number so it totals 10 digits.
