Posted by: from on 10/20/2008Overall the show is excellent. I was overseas when the series came out, but had the opportunity to watch some of season 1 and got hooked. I had to purchase season 2 so I could get caught up for season 3.

Posted by: from Waukesha, WI on 09/23/2008This season is great, characters develop more and the story line just seems to get better... it is to bad however that the writters got cut short it seems for the season because it just seems to get good then it ends. But definately worth the purchase.

    Amazing Second Season
    5
Posted by: from on 09/17/2008Though it might only have half the episodes of the average TV Series' Season (like many of the shows during the 2007-2008 tv line-up) it is still amazing. I missed some episodes when it was on tv then the next thing i know, it's season finale is in a week! So i bought this the day it came out. It explores new depths in the lives of the "heroes" and introduces some newbies aswell and yes the world is in danger, again and the cast must band together to save it once again. There is also tons of bonus features and a sneak peak of season 3. And season 3 will be entitled Volume 3: Villains, so expectations for the long-awaited season premier are high.

Not as good as the first season, but worthy TV

Posted by: from on 09/15/2008Heroes is one of my favorite shows. It's a brilliant addition to the superhero genre, and unlike early assumptions, it doesn't compare to X-Men at all. It's more of an almost Altmanesque view of special abilities and those gifted with them. Season 2 picks up after the first, and is about a virus that will destroy nearly all of humanity if the heroes don't stop it. Meanwhile, in ancient Japan, Hiro meets his hero, who turns out to be completely unlike what he expected, and is endowed with great powers of his own. This season suffered from the writers' strike, which cut it down to a mere 12 episodes. The DVD has some great features about where they intended to go with the story had they had the chance. If you like the show, this set is well worth it. Just don't expect the story to be as good this time around.

    Heroes is awesome

Posted by: from Akron, OH on 08/28/2008Heroes is, no doubt, one of the best shows to hit NBC. The first season was absolutely amazing. Second season...eh...hit or miss episodes. It would have been a lot better without the writers strike. In the features, itt ells what was going to happen if the strike hadnt happened (i wont spoil it) and man would it have changed the season. Too bad though. But season 3...man does it look SICK!!!

Great show, not the best season

Posted by: from Fargo, ND on 08/16/2008OK, I absolutely LOVE Heroes, so i am still buying this season, and would still recommend it to anyone else. my only problem is that with the writers strike the show really struggled when it came back. the writing wasn't as fresh, the stories sort of struggled, and as a whole it just didn't draw you in nearly as well as the frist season did. still, though it was entertaining and a joy to watch. i think season 2 was more just a victim of circumstance and bad timing. you can look at just about any show that came back from the strike, and they all sort of struggled. it was tough for the writers to really get back into the flow of the show right away, and with the NBC execs and the producers pushing them to crank out episodes so they can be back in the game right away, it caused a bit of a slump. i'm a little curious as to how there are so many episodes on these discs, when the season 2 was pretty short. are they going to include the NBC.com Webisodes or some of the original Villians shorts? All-in-all, you can complain all you want about how season 2 wasn't that good, but if you enjoy the show as a whole and want to get caught up before season 3 kicks in, i highly suggest picking this up. also Kristen Bell is in season 2, and boy is she fun to watch!

    Eh...

Posted by: from on 08/09/2008I am very upset that because of the whole Writer's Protest thing that the whole season was crammed together and it was just something to watch. The first season sucked me in and I grew attached to the characters, but Season Two was just yeah, yeah, whatever. They shouldn't of started Heroes : Villains. They should of attempted to continue Season 2... Why start all over...

Posted by: from Riverside, CA on 07/21/2008Heroes season 1 was a smash hit with everyone. It was a breath of fresh air and a new show for everyone to get addicted to. Season 2? Not so much. The main problem is the Writer's Strike killed this season. All the storylines were rushed and thrown together or took too long (Hiro in Japan). There are some good moments, lots of good Sylar action and Elle the electric girl. But the bad moments far outweigh the good.
