It was everything I expected from Peter Jackson after watching the extended versions of LOTR over and over again. An Unexpected Journey put faces and voices to all the characters I loved from reading The Hobbit, and brought in some further character and plot development from the appendices of LOTR. Overall everything was fine. On the front promotional sleeve there was a few stickers that left some residue, but I am sure that if you really cared that much you can just get a damp napkin and wipe it off.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I have always been a devout fan of Tolkien's works. The Hobbit is a true masterpiece, and seeing the book made film is just incredible.
The movie has elements which are not in the book, but they were perfectly integrated with the story without compromising the core story.
I definitely am satisfied with this buy, as I will truly see the movie several times.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I loved the cinematography of this movie and the plot was good. It was a slow start but certainly picks us as the movie progresses. It definitely fills in the backstory of Billbo Baggins and Gollum that is left untold in the LOTR movie series (I didn't read the books). However, in true Peter Jackson form, you have to wait for part II to see the rest of the story come together...0 out of 0 found this review helpful.
