Posted by: JDTX1 from TX on 05/06/2013Good filter, made a difference in the house within hours. I've had it running for 24 hours for nearly 2 weeks. When I got it, I ran it for about a day in each room and now just have it in the living room where it runs without being noticed.

Works ok, but not worth the money

My asthma fits at night decreased after using it and it also helped to get rid of the cat litter smell. However, now the oscillator does not work properly, and I have only had the fan for a little over a month. It does not turn all the way like it used too, and it makes a low knocking noise as it struggles to turn. The fan itself is fairly quiet though. I still use it because it does help me breathe better and the knocking noise doesn't bother me when I sleep, but for the price I paid, I should have received a much better product.

In fact, I'm now purchasing another one!!! We have 4 dogs, 2 cats and it does wonders for the air control, plus odor.

Noisiest "quiet" fan ever!!!

Posted by: MissyAGoGo from Lombard, IL on 12/29/2009I originally bought this item in March 2009 and thankfully bought the extra coverage, because I've had to take it back for a new one 4 times. It seems like after a few months of use, the oscillating base will either squeak, click, knock or sound like a creaky door. Sometimes simply turning off the oscillate feature for an hour will solve the problem, but only for a short time.
Clearly, I should've paid a little more for a better purifier. I would NEVER recommend this to anybody!!!

My husband is so upset with it because its so loud, we try to take it apart to fix the noise but it did not work and my husband a technician. DONT BUY THIS CR*P

Really doesn't filter much from the air. Super disappointed! Buy another brand. Had a fan of theirs too, quit after a year? Honeywell is cheaply made and over priced.

I liked this but cannot recommend it if noise annoys you.

My girlfriends daughter suffers from asthma and other allergies, and her symptoms are also greatly reduced when she is here.... totally better than in the past. I suffer from mild allergies myself as well, and my symptoms have all but disappeared as well. I am very happy that I bought this air purifier.
