Now that she is engaged to Tony (Larry Hagman), Jeannie (Barbara Eden) is determined to befriend the neurotic Amanda Bellows (Emmaline Henry),the wife of Tony's perennial nemesis Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke). Jeannie's first step is to present Amanda with a magical beauty cream which transforms the middle-aged psychiatrist's wife into a gorgeous young woman (played by Laraine Stephens). The plan backfires when Roger (Bill Daily) falls madly in love with the "new" Amanda, blissfully unaware of her husband's identity. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: Jeannie, the Matchmaker
Although Tony (Larry Hagman) and Jeannie (Barbara Eden) are happily wed, Tony's best friend Roger (Bill Daily) remains a lonely bachelor. Hoping to remedy this situation, Tony arranges a date between Roger and Patricia (Janis Hansen), the niece of General Schaeffer (Vinton Hayworth). Unfortunately, at the exact same time Jeannie (Barbara Eden) pays a visit to a local computer dating service, where she fixes Roger up with a voluptuous creature named Laverne (Elaine Giftos). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: Never Put a Genie on a Budget
Jeannie (Barbara Eden) gets into a legal jam when she tries to charge items at stores where she has no credit. Husband Tony (Larry Hagman) demands that Jeannie immediately go on a strict budget--an order that results in near-disaster when Tony brings visiting Russian cosmonaut Gregorian (Noam Pitlik) home to dinner. And this being a late-1960s sitcom, it is perhaps inevitable that a bunch of hippies are also worked into the story! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: The Wedding
The Big Day has finally arrived, as Jeannie (Barbara Eden) and Tony (Larry Hagman) prepare to walk down the aisle and be united in matrimony. Naturally, the NASA brass wants to get as much publicity out of the event as possible, so several press photographers are summoned to the wedding. But there's one small hitch: Jeannie is a genie, and genies can't be photographed! This landmark episode affects different people different ways: Some fans regard it as I Dream of Jeannie's "Jump the Shark" moment, after which the series began to go downhill; conversely, star Barbara Eden has cited "The Wedding" as her favorite episode. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: My Sister, the Homewrecker
Even though Tony (Larry Hagman) and Jeannie (Barbara Eden) are now husband and wife, Jeannie's wicked lookalike sister (also played by Barbara Eden) hasn't abandoned her efforts to break up the couple. Jeannie II's latest scheme is to pose as the "real" Jeannie while conducting a very public romance with handsome astronaut Biff Jellico (played by Barbara Eden's then husband Michael Ansara), thus disgracing her sister. Meanwhile, Jeannie remains blissfully ignorant of what her sibling is up to--until it's almost too late. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: The Blood of a Jeannie
In order to qualify for a marriage license, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) must take a blood test. This proves problematic when Jeannie reveals to Tony (Larry Hagman) and Roger (Bill Daily) that a genie's blood is green rather than red. In order to safeguard Jeannie's secret, Roger resorts to a bit of larceny--a job for which he is remarkably unqualified. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: Djinn Djinn, the Pied Piper
General Schaeffer (Vinton Hayworth) prevails upon Tony (Larry Hagman) to take Jupiter, Schaeffer's pet Great Dane, for a training walk. Tagging along is Jeannie's (Barbara Eden) magical mutt Djinn Djinn, who takes an instant dislike to Jupiter. Rendering himself invisible, Djinn Djinn wreaks all manner of havoc, for which Jupiter is blame and sent to the dog pound--thus setting the stage for a massive canine jailbreak commandeered by the ubiquitous Djinn Djinn! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: The Mad Home Wrecker
As the date of their wedding approaches, Tony (Larry Hagman) and Jeannie (Barbara Eden) must endure the rather hideous gifts bestowed upon them by the well-meaning Dr. and Mrs. Bellows (Hayden Rorke, Emmaline Henry). These gifts include a complete home-redecoration job, masterminded by an egotistical interior decorator (Michael Lipton) whose taste is apparently all in his mouth. Surveying the damage done by this so-called artist, Jeannie concludes that some drastic measures are way overdue. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: Uncles A-Go-Go
Having learned of the upcoming wedding of Jeannie (Barbara Eden) and Tony (Larry Hagman), Jeannie's magical uncles Azmire (Ronald Long) and Vasmir (Arthur Malet) show up. According to family tradition, if only one of the uncles disapproves of Tony, the wedding is off. Unfortunately, Azmire and Vasmir dislike each other, so much so that one of them invariably disagrees with the other on everything, and vice versa--meaning that Tony is toast no matter what happens! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: Jeannie and the Bachelor Party
Tony (Larry Hagman) insists that he doesn't want a bachelor party, but Roger (Bill Daily) and Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) have other ideas. Convincing Tony that he is attending a NASA convention, Roger and Bellows gleefully plan to surprise Tony with the traditionally wild bachelor bash. But the surprise is on the two conspirators when Jeannie (Barbara Eden) figures out what's going on. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: Jeannie at the Piano
In the opening episode of I Dream of Jeannie's fifth and final season, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) casts a spell on the piano in the Cocoa Beach officer's club, making Tony (Larry Hagman) appear to be a musical virtuoso when he sits down to play. Amazed by Tony's "gift", General Schaeffer (Vinton Hayworth) books the astronaut on a nationwide concert tour. Trouble is, it's the piano and not Tony that is issuing forth the beautiful music--and when Tony shows up at Carnegie Hall, an entirely different piano is awaiting him...and Jeannie is nowhere to be found to bail him out! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
I Dream of Jeannie: Guess Who's Going to Be a Bride, Part 2
In the conclusion of a two-part story, Tony (Larry Hagman) has banished Jeannie (Barbara Eden), only to find out that he can't live without her. Worse still, Tony has been bumped from the space program and transferred to Alaska, thanks to the previous week's brouhaha involving Jeannie's uncle Suleiman (Jackie Coogan) and the ambassador of Kasha. Putting his own career on the line, Roger (Bill Daily) sets out to reinstate Tony and to reunite him with Jeannie. Ultimately, Tony finally proposes to Jeannie--only to find that he must now pass a rather rigorous test imposed by Suleiman. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Unfortunately, Tony has been assigned to escort Hamid (Frank DeVol), the ambassador of Kasha--Basenji's longtime enemy. As a result of the chaos that follows, the infuriated Tony all but orders Jeannie to get out of his life forever! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

This episode concerns a dinner date with Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) and his wife Amanda (Emmaline Henry) where Jeannie serve the couple a bottle of rare 400-year-old wine. The beverage has a curious effect on the Bellows: namely, it renders them invisible!
