I Dream of Jeannie: The Americanization of Jeannie
Although Tony is by now accustomed to Jeannie, it embarrasses him to have her waiting on him hand and foot like a slave--harem outfit and all. Ever anxious to please her Master, Jeannie decides to become a 100% American Woman, using information gleaned from a magazine article. Naturally, in her eagerness to do everything right, our heroine succeeds primarily in doing everything wrong, beginning with her efforts to land an "ordinary" job. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Djinn and Water
    J. Carroll Naish guest stars as Jeannie's great-grandfather, Bilejik the Djinn. Upon learning that Tony (Larry Hagman) is involved in an experiment to extract fresh water from salt water, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) summons forth Bilejik, who invented the same process back in ancient times. Of course, the formula that the old Djinn comes up with has a very strange taste--and effect. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Whatever Happened to Baby Custer?
Taking time off from Lost in Space, Billy Mumy guests as Custer Jamison, an 8-year-old neighbor boy who considers astronaut Tony Nelson (Larry Hagman) as his personal hero. Dropping in unannounced at Tony's house, Custer witnesses Jeannie (Barbara Eden) floating about in mid-air. When the kid tells his parents about this, Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) offers to psychoanalyze Custer, hoping to prove once and for all that something very strange is going on the Nelson household. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Where'd You Go Go?
Jeannie (Barbara Eden) is so mad that she's smoking when Tony's former girl friend Diane (Elizabeth MacRae) shows up in town, hoping to rekindle the romance. Shortly thereafter, Roger meets Jeannie for the first time, and, as yet unaware that she's a genie (much less Tony's "housemate!"), asks her for a date. As a result, Tony and Diane spend an entire evening narrowly missing Roger and Jeannie, and vice versa. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Russian Roulette
Tony (Larry Hagman) and Roger (Bill Daily) are ordered to entertain a pair of Russian Cosmonauts--one of whom turns out to be a gorgeous young woman, Maj. Sonya Tiompkin (Arlene Martel). The jealous Jeannie (Barbara Eden) decides to keep tabs on Tony by hiding herself, and her bottle, in Roger's coat pocket. The fun begins when Sonya expresses fascination in Jeannie's bottle--whereupon generous Roger, unaware of the bottle's contents, hands it over to her as a goodwill gift! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: What House Across the Street?
Hoping to coerce Tony (Larry Hagman) into marrying her, Jeannie pretends to accept Roger's marriage proposal. This makes it imperative for Jeannie to hide her true identity from Roger(Bill Daily). For this purpose, she "creates" a set of wealthy parents, who live in the house across the street from Tony--which she also conjures up out of thin air, leading to no end of complications for her long-suffering Master. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: The Moving Finger
While working as a technical consultant on a film about astronauts, Tony (Larry Hagman) begins going out with the star, gorgeous Rita Mitchell (Nancy Kovack). Seething with jealousy, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) decides to win Tony back by going into the movies herself. There's only one teeny-tiny problem: Genies can't be photographed! This is the first episode to open with the now-familiar animated "Dancing Genie" credit titles. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Too Many Tonys
Feeling neglected by Tony (Larry Hagman), Jeannie conjures up an exact double of her master (also played by Larry Hagman). The "Second Tony" is far more amorous and compliant than the "original", a fact that Jeannie hopes to exploit to put the real Tony in the mood for marriage. The plan had better work: It is just possible that NASA is about to enforce a new rule that all of their astronauts must have wives. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: G.I. Jeannie
Now that Tony (Larry Hagman) has broken up with his fiancée, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) is more determined than ever to have him all to herself. To make certain of this, Jeannie joins the WAAF's, in hopes of becoming Tony's secretary on the base. Her plan backfires when she is assigned to another office--in Africa! In this episode, we learn the exact date of Jeannie's birthday--a "fact" which will be contradicted time and again in future episodes. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: The Yacht Murder Case
The ubiquitous Jeannie (Barbara Eden) pops up uninvited at a party on board a yacht which Tony (Larry Hagman) is attending. Angrily, Tony reprimands Jeannie, whereupon she disappears in a puff a smoke. Alas, when Tony is unable to account for Jeannie's whereabouts later on, he ends up in jail on a murder charge! Watch for Richard Webb, TV's onetime "Captain Midnight", as Colonel Brady, and for Sandra Gould, Bewitched's future Gladys Kravitz, as a cleaning lady. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Anybody Here Seen Jeannie?
The three astronauts chosen by NASA to make America's first spacewalk are Tony Nelson (Larry Hagman), Roger Healey (Bill Daily) and George Conway (yes, that's Dabney Coleman). Unfortunately, it looks as though Tony will be scrubbed from the mission thanks to a nervous Jeannie (Barbara Eden), who is worried that he will never return to earth. In order to "save" her Master, Jeannie causes all sorts of mischief during Tony's psychiatric exam--conducted, of course, by the ever suspicious Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Guess What Happened on the Way to the Moon?
By now, Tony (Larry Hagman) is all to aware that he can never elude the troublesome Jeannie (Barbara Eden)--not even way out in the desert, where Tony and Roger (Bill Daily) are on a survival mission. It's all part of a preparation for a journey to the moon, so naturally the two astronauts are expected to fend for themselves in a simulated lunar setting. Sensing that her Master needs her help in finding food, water, and shelter, well-meaning Jeannie very nearly fouls up the entire mission--and almost clues the clueless Roger into the fact that there's a genie living in Tony's house. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: The Marriage Caper
General Stone (Byron Morrow), the father of Tony's fiancée Melissa (Karen Sharpe), invites him to join him overseas as his military attaché. Melissa of course is delighted by this turn of events, hoping to move the wedding date closer. The fly in the ointment is Jeannie, who of course harbors a deep, dark jealousy for Melissa--and who is determined to prove to Tony that "there's no place like home"--particularly a home with a genie bottle. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: The Lady in the Bottle
The first season of I Dream of Jeannie kicks off with the now-famous episode (originally filmed in black and white) wherein the space capsule carrying astronaut Tony Nelson (Larry Hagman) crash-lands on a deserted island. As Tony surveys the surrounding area, he stumbles upon an ancient-looking bottle--out of which pops a gorgeous, harem-clad genie (Barbara Eden), who has been trapped inside the bottle for 2000 years (or 2500 years, who's counting). Gratefully, the beautiful "Jeannie" conjures up a navy helicopter to rescue Tony and deliver him back to his base in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Tony of course is certain that the entire incident was the result of his imagination--until he finds out that Jeannie has loyally followed him to his home, hoping to remain there permanently! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Hero?
Whisked back to ancient Persia, Tony (Larry Hagman) must avenge Jeannie's honor for an insult committed by Ali, the Killer of Giants (played by "giant" actor Richard Kiel). Though Tony may well be killed by Ali, he can take comfort in the knowledge that Ali will then be killed by Jeannie (Barbara Eden). The befuddled astronaut also meets Jeannie's parents (Florence Sundstrom, Henry Corden) who find Tony to be a bit "odd"to suit their daughter! This and the following seven episodes includes a different opening credits sequence, in which the familiar "dancing Jeannie" animation is replaced by a narrated recap of the events which led up to Jeannie adopting Tony as her master (that's Paul Frees as the narrator, by the way). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Rainmaker
When heavy rain threatens to ruin an outing with Tony (Larry Hagman), Jeannie (Barbara Eden) magically transforms the storm clouds into sunshine. As usual, there is a glitch or two in her magic, and before long it has started to snow. . .in Florida. . .in the middle of July. The plot thickens when Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) becomes convinced that Tony has created a machine that controls the weather--and insists that Tony give another demonstration immediately. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: This Is Murder
Jeannie has taken an oath to kill any and all descendants of the royal household that cheated her family 3000 years ago. Unfortunately, one of those descendants is the lovely Princess Tarji (Gila Golan), whom Tony (Larry Hagman) has been assigned to escort during the Princess' visit to Cocoa Beach. To keep Jeannie from carrying out her vendetta, Tony loads her down with a variety of time-consuming tasks--but not enough to keep Jeannie from coming face to face with her "sworn enemy" in the climactic scene! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Rich Tycoon
Paul Lynde guests stars as IRS agent Harry Huggins, who knocks on the door of the Nelson household while Tony (Larry Hagman) is elsewhere. In a misguided attempt to impress Huggins, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) magically conjures up several rooms full of valuable furniture and rare pieces of art, not to mention a full retinue of servants. Not surprisingly, the rapacious Huggins is delighted at the prospect of auditing poor Tony within an inch of his life! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Author
Jeannie (Barbara Eden) writes a book about how to be a perfect mother. To conceal her magical identity, Jeannie signs the volume with the name of her master, Tony (Larry Hagman). Suspicious Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) forces Tony to prove his authorship by putting the luckless astronaut in charge of two bratty children (one of whom is none other than "Eddie Munster", aka Butch Patrick). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Jeannie Breaks the Bank
Tony (Larry Hagman) wants to buy a boat with Roger (Bill Daily), but the bank turns down his request for a loan. Hoping to help out, Jeannie magically deposits a huge sum in Tony's bank account--six million dollars, to be exact! Will this financial windfall finally give Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) positive proof that there's something mighty strange going on in the Nelson household? ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Never Try to Outsmart a Genie
Preparing to embark on a three-week trip to Rome, Tony (Larry Hagman) orders Jeannie (Barbara Eden) to remain home. Certain that Tony will succumb to the charms of some fair senorina or other, Jeannie resorts to every trick in the book to force Tony to stay in Cocoa Beach. Finally, Tony gives up and tells her she can go along--but only if she can obtain a passport legally, something that her "genie" will not permit her to do. Meanwhile, Roger (Bill Daily) eagerly awaits the opportunity to have Jeannie all to himself...as if! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Is There an Extra Jeannie in the House?
Jeannie (Barbara Eden is just about worn to a frazzle serving as genie to two masters, namely Tony (Larry Hagman) and Roger (Bill Daily). More work comes her way when Roger begs Jeannie to get him out of trouble when he keeps his date Sheila (a pre-Laugh-In Judy Carne), the niece of Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) out too late one night. Jeannie's solution to this crisis is to provide Roger with a genie of his own--her cousin Myrt, played by Emmaline Henry before she was established on I Dream of Jeannie in the role of Dr. Bellows' wife Amanda. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Richest Astronaut in the World
In this pivotal episode, Roger (Bill Daily) finally learns the truth: The gorgeous Jeannie (Barbara Eden) who lives in the house of his friend Tony (Larry Hagman) is a genuine genie. Hoping to take advantage of this, Roger "steals" Jeannie and becomes her new master. Before long, Roger is surrounded by wealth, luxury and beautiful maidservants--but there's a heavy price he'll have to pay for his greed before the episode is over! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Get Me to Mecca on Time
Tony (Larry Hagman) is startled when Jeannie (Barbara Eden) starts fading away before his eyes. It seems that it is the annual Day of the Ramda, and unless Jeannie returns post-haste to ancient Mecca to utter certain sacred words, she will disappear forever. Watch for future MASH regular Jamie Farr and "lovable lush" Foster Brooks in supporting roles. This episode was cowritten by frequent Alfred Hitchcock collaborator James Allardice. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Great Caruso
Jeannie (Barbara Eden) uses her magic to give Tony (Larry Hagman) the singing voice of the immortal Enrico Caruso. Upon hearing Tony sing, General Peterson (Barton MacLane) enters him in a NASA talent show. Unfortunately, just before this happens, Tony has ordered Jeannie to "remove" Caruso's voice once and for all--and Jeannie, of course, always follows orders, especially at the least opportune moment! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: How Do You Beat Superman?
Fed up with Tony's football obsession, Jeannie creates a "second" Tony (played by Mike Road, best known as the voice of Race Bannon on the animated Jonny Quest) in order to make her master jealous. This creation, a wealthy and handsome bon vivant named Tony Millionaire, goes so far as to propose marriage, which Jeannie accepts, certain that the real Tony will step in and claim her for himself. However, things don't quite go according to schedule... ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Wild Eyed Master
Jeannie (Barbara Eden) comes to the rescue when it looks as though Tony (Larry Hagman) will be scrubbed from an orbital flight because of poor eyesight. Using her magic, Jeannie gives Tony the best pair of eyes on earth. Unfortunately, they prove to be too good--and now "X-ray vision" Tony is able to see through solid walls, leading to the usual embarrassing complications. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Great Rembrandt
Weekend artist Tony (Larry Hagman) paints a copy of a famous Rembrandt for a charity auction, putting his own signature on it. Jeannie (Barbara Eden) is so impressed by the results that she magically switches Tony's copy with the genuine Rembrandt hanging in the Louvre. Thus, when two art experts purchase the painting at the auction for an enormous sum, Tony is immediately under suspicion for being either a forger, an art thief, or both! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Bigger Than a Bread Box
To prove to the gullible Roger (Bill Daily) that fortune teller Madame Zolta (Jorja Curtwright) is a phony, Tony (Larry Hagman) agrees to participate in one of Zolta's séances. Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) attends as well, hoping somehow to get to the bottom of the weird goings-on in Tony's house. Perhaps inevitably, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) also shows up--and as a result there is at least one person in the room who becomes convinced that Madame Zolta's powers are real...and it isn't Roger! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Permanent House Guest
After being humiliated in front of General Peterson (Barton MacLane) once again--he could have sworn he saw an elephant in Tony's bedroom!--Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) is more determined than ever to prove that something very, VERY strange is going on in the Nelson household. To this end, he persuades Tony (Larry Hagman) to let him move in as a house guest for a "few" days. Of course, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) must keep herself scarce during Bellows' stay, but this task proves to be more than the capricious genie can handle. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Watch the Birdie
Thanks to Jeannie's magic, Tony (Larry Hagman) temporarily becomes a champion-level golfer. This appeals to General Peterson (Barton MacLane), who enters Tony in a grudge match against the Navy's best players. Stubbornly determined to win on his own, Tony refuses to allow Jeannie (Barbara Eden) to help him during the game, which turns out to be his first mistake...and his second...and his third... ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Doctor
Tony (Larry Hagman) makes the mistake of telling Jeannie (Barbara Eden) that his childhood ambition was to become a doctor. Almost instantly, "Doctor" Anthony Nelson pops up in an operating room, where Roger is just about to undergo removal of his appendix. Making things even more delicate is the fact that the ever-suspicious Dr. Bellows is certain that he's seen this "new" doctor somewhere else before. How will Jeannie be able to straighten out THIS mess? (PS: Isn't that little "Marcia Brady" in one scene?) ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Jeannie and the Kidnap Caper
Tony (Larry Hagman) angrily orders Jeannie (Barbara Eden) to stop using magic--completely, no matter what the provocation. Alas, a few moments later Tony is kidnapped by Communist spies and whisked off to a torture chamber, where his captors hope to extract certain top secrets from him. Jeannie materializes in the chamber, but because of her promise she can only offer words of sympathy to her flustered, chained-up master. It is up to Roger--who heretofore has been completely out of the story loop--to figure out a way that Jeannie can rescue Tony (Roger Daily) without violating the rules! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: How Lucky Can You Get?
General Peterson (Barton MacLane) sends Tony (Larry Hagman) and Roger (Bill Daily) to Reno to celebrate their promotions to Major. Jeannie (Barbara Eden) was supposed to stay behind, but Roger is determined to win big-time at the gambling tables. As a result, Jeannie is smuggled to the Biggest Little City in a travelling bag, and before long Roger is practically a millionaire--at least, until Tony finds out what's what! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Happy Anniversary
In the first episode of I Dream of Jeannie's second season--and the first to be filmed in color--Jeannie (Barbara Eden) arranges a sentimental journey for herself and her master Tony (Larry Hagman) on the desert island where they first met one year ago. This time, however, the ancient bottle that Tony stumbles upon contains the evil Blue Djinn (played by Barbara Eden's then husband Michael Ansara), who'd imprisoned Jeannie in her bottle 2000 years ago--and who is forsworn to kill the girl's new master! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Magician
To explain away the fact that Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) has caught him floating in mid-air (courtesy of Jeannie [Barbara Eden], of course--Tony (Larry Hagman) alibis that he is an amateur magician. Calling Tony's bluff, Dr. Bellows orders the long-suffering astronaut to perform his magic act at a show for the NASA personnel. Perhaps Jeannie can extricate Tony from this dilemma--or perhaps Dr. Bellows will finally be able to prove that all the weird goings-on in Tony's house are not figments of his imagination. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: What's New, Poodle Dog?
To prevent Roger (Bill Daily) from arranging a blind date for Tony (Larry Hagman), Jeannie (Barbara Eden) turns Roger into a French poodle. Alas, before she can reverse the spell, Roger has been whisked off to the dog pound. Tony rushes to the pound and purchases Roger back--only it isn't Roger, but an entirely different dog. Dick Wilson, best known as "Mr. Whipple" in a long-running series of bathroom-tissue commercials, is herein intriguingly cast as a "Mr. Wimple"! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Fastest Gun in the East
Tony (Larry Hagman) has GOT to learn not to reveal his innermost desires to Jeannie (Barbara Eden). Case in point: When Tony expresses a wish that he could have lived in the old west, Jeannie transports him back to the 19th century frontier town of Gopher Gulch--and makes him sheriff to boot.Unfortunately, the town is overrun with rustlers, who aim to fill Sheriff Tony full of lead. At least this episode affords us the opportunity to see Barbara Eden in a fetchingly low-cut saloon girl outfit...and yes, that's Hoyt Axton, playing one of the bad guys. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: How to Be a Genie in 10 Easy Lessons
Roger (Bill Daily) suggests that Jeannie (Barbara Eden) brush up on her magical skills by reading "Tales of the Arabian Nights". Unfortunately, this particular volume describes the various fiendish methods by which genies can torture their masters. Jeannie is appalled, but the unwitting Tony (Larry Hagman) insists the she follow the book's instructions to the letter...OUCH!!!! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Who Needs a Green Eyed Jeannie?
Jealous Jeannie has promised not to interfere with Tony's social life, but she breaks that promise when she finds out that Tony (Larry Hagman) is planning to meet his old girlfriend Joan (Joan Patrick). In a snit, Jeannie transforms Joan into a chimpanzee, hoping that this will teach her Master a lesson. What Jeannie doesn't know is that Joan is married to a vicious mobster named Two Gun Richards (Ted De Corsia), a fact that will determine the riotous outcome of the story! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: The Girl Who Never Had a Birthday, Part 1
In the first episode of a two-part story, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) is profoundly sad because she doesn't know her own birthday (and never mind that she DID know in the first-season episode "GI Jeannie"). This lack of knowledge proves to have a deleterious effect on Jeannie, who begins fading into oblivion right before the eyes of her master Tony (Larry Hagman). In an effort to rescue her before she vanishes completely, Roger (Bill Daily) consults a NASA computer to determine exactly when Jeannie was born--but just as he is to reveal the date, Roger is transferred to a remote Alaskan outpost, where no communication devices are available! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: The Girl Who Never Had a Birthday, Part 2
In the conclusion of a two-part story, the melancholy Jeannie (Barbara Eden) continues to fade into nothingness because she doesn't know the date of her birthday. In desperation, Tony (Larry Hagman) tries to contact Roger (Bill Daily), the only person who does know the crucial date--and who has been transferred to an isolated outpost in Alaska. The trick is to prevent the suspicious Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) from figuring out what is going on...which may prove impossible when, through a fluke, several historical characters begin making "guest" appearances. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: I'll Never Forget What's Her Name
After a blow on the head, Tony (Larry Hagman) suffers from "selective" amnesia--that is, he can remember everything except that he is the Master of a genie named Jeannie (Barbara Eden). Thus, when he meets Jeannie for what he thinks is the very first time, he immediately falls in love with her, going so far as to propose marriage. Jeannie of course is delighted, but Tony's friend Roger (Bill Daily) warns her that no good can come of the situation--and for once, Roger is right. This is the final episode of I Dream of Jeannie's first season. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Always on Sunday
Tennis star Pancho Segura makes a guest appearance in this episode, the plot of which predates Ground Hog Day by nearly three decades. When Tony (Larry Hagman) shows signs of working too hard, helpful Jeannie (Barbara Eden) arranges a long rest for her master, by changing every day into Sunday. Thing of it is, only Tony is aware that the entire world is reliving the same day, over and over...and it's driving him bonkers! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Thief
Jeannie (Barbara Eden) claims a pair of 2000-year-old slippers that she thinks she once wore in ancient Persia. Unfortunately, the slippers were part of a priceless exhibit at a local museum. As a result, Jeannie's hapless master Tony (Larry Hagman) is accused of being a thief, thereby sparking a volatile international incident (Poor Tony must be used to this sort of thing, since he'd been accused of thievery in the previous week's episode "My Master the Rembrandt" as well!) ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: The World's Greatest Lover
Roger (Bill Daily) is down in the dumps over his inability to attract girls. Helpful Jeannie (Barbara Eden) casts a spell whereby Roger will be irresistible to the opposite sex. Unfortunately, this brings Roger in too-close contact with the daughter (Julie Gregg) of a Mafia boss--to say nothing of the wife of his perennial nemesis Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke). With this episode, Emmaline Henry makes her first appearance as Mrs. Amanda Bellows. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Civilian
Feeling confined by his military duties, Tony (Larry Hagman) seriously considers an offer to resign from NASA and accept a lucrative job with an aeronautics firm in Ohio. Naturally, neither Jeannie (Barbara Eden) nor Roger (Bill Daily) are keen on Tony making such a crucial move. To convince her Master to remain in Cocoa Beach--and in uniform--Jeannie magically conjures up a vision of what a disaster civilian life would be for Tony. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: One of Our Bottles Is Missing
While visiting Tony's house, Mrs. Bellows (Emmaline Henry) is enchanted by a certain antique bottle. Try though he might, Tony (Larry Hagman) cannot dissuade Mrs. Bellows from asking him to lend her the bottle for duplication, which he does--with Jeannie (Barbara Eden) still inside. Has the day finally come that the redoubtable Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) will have proof incarnate that the Nelson ghousehold is a major source of bizarre magical activity? ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    I Dream of Jeannie: You Can't Arrest Me...I Don't Have a Driver's License
Stopped by a policeman while driving down a one-way street ("I am only going one way!"), Jeannie (Barbara Eden) is cited for not having a driver's license--and Tony's car is impounded. In order to get his vehicle back, Tony (Larry Hagman) tells the cops that the back seat is full of secret government documents. Hasn't Tony learned by now that a little white lie snowballs into disaster whenever Jeannie is involved? ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Spy
Jeannie (Barbara Eden) wants Tony (Larry Hagman) to take her to a Parisian restaurant, but he is slated to remain at NASA headquarters for a top-secret meeting about "Operation Galaxy". Resourcefullly, Jeannie creates two Tonys, one to fulfill his astronaut duties, the other to escort her to the restaurant. The appearance of the "second Tony" in front of two high-ranking French officials leads Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) to conclude that Cocoa Beach has been invaded by enemy spies! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: The Mod Party
Tony (Larry Hagman) is looking forward to attending the "mod" party arranged by Roger (Bill Daily). Unfortunately, on the same night as the shindig, Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) insists that Tony and Roger attend a party held by Bellows' wife Amanda (Emmaline Henry). To avoid this horrendous fate, our heroes tell Bellows that they're going on a duck-hunting expedition...and it is up to Jeannie (Barbara Eden) to straighten out the mess that results from this subterfuge. This is the final episode of I Dream of Jeannie's second season. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Swinging Bachelor
When Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) and his wife Amanda (Emmaline Henry) wangle a dinner invitation at Tony's house, Tony hires an attractive young woman named Kathryn (Bridget Hanley) to help out in the kitchen. Not surprisingly, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) is incensed by the notion that her Master will be in close proximity with another woman. Thus it is that Jeannie whips up a special cake for the dinner party--which, when eaten, causes the eater to revert to childhood! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: A Secretary Is Not a Toy
While working as a secretary for General Peterson (Barton MacLane), Jeannie (Barbara Eden) gets the idea in her pretty little head that her master Tony (Larry Hagman) should be promoted to general as well. With a nod of the head and the blink of an eye, Jeannie sets the wheels in motion that will elevate Tony to the highest rank at NASA. Alas, things go horribly wrong, and before long Tony is in danger of being kicked out of the space program altogether! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, the Pirate
On one of her usual whims, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) transports herself and Tony (Larry Hagman) back to the 17th century, where they end up on the deck of the pirate ship commandeered by the infamous Captain Kidd (Al Wyatt). It just so happens that one of Tony's ancestors, the beauteous Lady Diane Nelson (Elaine Devry), is being held captive on the ship--and if Captain Kidd goes through with his plan to make Lady Diane walk the plank, Tony will cease to exist in the 20th century! I Dream of Jeannie: Jeannie Goes Honolulu
In the second of three episodes filmed in Hawaii (else why would Don Ho be making a guest appearance?), Tony (Larry Hagman) and Roger (Bill Daily) tell a little white lie to Jeannie (Barbara Eden) in order to take a vacation at Waikiki. Once Jeannie discovers that her Master has not gone to the North Pole as he claimed, she pops up in Honolulu to find Tony escorting Eleanor (Brenda Benet), the daughter of an admiral. In order to avoid Jeannie's wrath, Tony cooks up another falsehood, claiming that Eleanor is an endangered princess, and that he is the girl's bodyguard--and the tangled web gets tanglier by the minute! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Jeannie and the Great Bank Robbery
Once again peeved by Jeannie's persistence, Tony (Larry Hagman) orders her to stop doing favors for him and to help someone else instead. Jeannie (Barbara Eden) tries to oblige, but the first people whom she "helps" turn out to be a pair of bank robbers! Veteran movie tough guy Mike Mazurki shows up as a bank guard, while popular LA radio personality and game-show host Geoff Edwards appears as a teller. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Tony's Wife
Jeannie's wicked lookalike sister Jeannie II (also played by Barbara Eden) is back, this time with the doleful news that "our" Jeannie has been designated a jinx and must return to Bagdad for sixteen years. Sadly, Jeannie vows that Tony (Larry Hagman) will not be lonely in her absence, so she chooses an appropriate fiancée for her master, a girl named Helen (Shannon Farnon). What Jeannie doesn't know is that the crafy Jeannie II has fabricated the "jinx" story so she can have Tony all to herself. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: My Son, The Genie
Two formidable TV icons converge in this episode, as Bob Denver of Gilligan's Island appears as Harold, a feckless apprentice genie whom Jeannie (Barbara Eden) is ordered to train. I Dream of Jeannie: Everybody's a Movie Star
Paul Lynde makes his second I Dream of Jeannie guest appearance, this time in the role of famous Hollywood film director Allen Kerr. Arriving in Cocoa Beach to make a picture about an average day in the life of an average astronaut, Kerr chooses Tony (Larry Hagman) as his subject. I Dream of Jeannie: My Master, Napoleon's Buddy
Amateur military strategist Tony (Larry Hagman) is certain that, had he been around to give advice to Napoleon, the little corporal would never have been defeated in battle. Too bad that Tony has told all this to Jeannie (Barbara Eden), who immediately whisks her master back to the Napoleonic Era, the better to change the course of history. Unfortunately, Napoleon (Aram Katcher) scoffingly dismisses Tony as a two-bit fortune teller--and before long, Nappy has grown sick and tired of the curious stranger. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: There Goes the Bride
Abraham Sofaer makes his first series appearance as Haji, master of all genies, in this episode, which is also the first one directed by series star Larry Hagman. Tired of merely wishing that Tony (Larry Hagman) would ask her to become his wife, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) casts a "forbidden" spell on her Master, whereupon he instantly drops to his knee and proposes. This enrages the all-powerful Haji, who casts his own spell...resulting in an severely accident-prone Tony and a Jeannie completely stripped of her magical skills. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Meet My Master's Mother
Spring Byington guest stars as the mother of astronaut Tony Nelson (Larry Hagman). Dropping into her son's house on what is supposed to be a brief visit, Mama Nelson concludes that Tony is helpless without her, and decides to stay permanently. Of course, this spells trouble for Jeannie (Barbara Eden), who is going to have quite a time keeping her presence (and her identity) a secret. Though Spring Byington delivers a superb performance, it would have been interesting had actor Larry Hagman's mother been played by Barbara Bel Geddes...or even Mary Martin. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Who Are You Calling a Jeannie?
Just as Tony (Larry Hagman) developed amnesia in the first-season episode "I'll Never Forget What's Her Name", so too does Jeannie (Barbara Eden) lose her memory in this third-season offering. Unable to remember anything, Jeannie refuses to believe that she is a genie, going so far as to hire a lawyer (Richard Deacon) to sue NASA for the accident that caused her amnesia. I Dream of Jeannie: Jeannie, the Hip Hippie
Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart, the songwriting team who penned many of The Monkees' hit tunes, appear in this episode as two members of a shaggy-haired rock quartet. Actually, the quartet begins as four normal guys with no musical skills whatever--but that was before Jeannie (Barbara Eden) cast a spell to help Tony (Larry Hagman) locate a group of entertainers at the behest of Mrs. Bellows (Emmaline Henry). And yes, that young, prosperous-looking guy in one scene is indeed celebrated rock promoter-producer Phil Spector. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Fly Me to the Moon
In this first episode of I Dream of Jeannie's third season, soft-hearted Jeannie (Barbara Eden) feels sorry for the chimpanzee who is slated to go on a NASA moon shot. To save the simian from this fate, Jeannie transforms him into a human being (hilariously portrayed by Larry Storch). Unfortunately, the spell backfires on Tony (Larry Hagman), who is turned into a chimp and slated to take the moon trip in the real monkey's stead. (Reportedly, the decision to name the chimp "Sam" was a deliberate slam against I Dream of Jeannie's rival "magical" sitcom Bewitched, which of course starred a beautiful witch named Samantha). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Here Comes Bootsie Nightingale
Archetypal "dumb blonde" Carol Wayne guests in this episode as shapely movie star Bootsie Nightingale, with the inimitable Jesse White as Bootsie's hot-shot agent Sam. Don Rickles guest-stars as "Killer" Kiski, a mean-spirited physical fitness instructor who is convinced that astronauts Tony (Larry Hagman) and Roger (Bill Daily) haven gotten too soft for their own good. To whip our heroes into shape, Kiski subjects them to an exhausting exercise regimen during a wildnerness outing. Sense that her Master has been nearly exercised to death, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) attempts to save the day by trying to appeal to Kiski's "tender" side...assuming he has one! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Jeannie (Barbara Eden) creates a "miracle" spot remover to clean a stain on Tony's jacket. The result: the jacket proves to be indestructible, leading Gen. Peterson (Barton MacLane) to demand that Tony (Larry Hagman) give another demonstration of the remarkable remover--a demonstration so disastrous that it nearly gets one of the regular characters permanently transferred to Iceland. I Dream of Jeannie: The Greatest Entertainer in the World
Sammy Davis Jr. appears as himself in this episode, in which Tony (Larry Hagman) assures Gen. Peterson (Barton MacLane) that he will be able to book Sammy for an upcoming NASA party. I Dream of Jeannie: There Goes the Best Genie I Ever Had
Jeannie (Barbara Eden) dutifully informs Tony (Larry Hagman) that "Hajii Day" is coming soon, wherein all displeased Masters are given the option of divesting themselves of their genies. Terrified that Tony will send Jeannie away for her constant bungling and disobedience, our heroine works overtime to persuade him otherwise--but his mind may already be made up. I Dream of Jeannie: Abdullah
Jeannie (Barbara Eden) agrees to babysit her magical infant nephew Adbullah, but it is Tony (Larry Hagman)--and only Tony--who can stop the baby from its incessant crying. Upon discovering this, Roger hopes to utilize the foreknowledge gleaned from the paper to strike it rich at the local racetrack...little realizing that the paper's lead story is "Astronaut Breaks Leg in Accident". Though this episode is a remake of a similar installment on I Dream of Jeannie's rival series Bewitched, the basic plotline can be traced even further back to the 1944 fantasy film It Happened Tomorrow. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

I Dream of Jeannie: Genie, Genie, Who's Got the Genie?, Part 4
In the conclusion of a four-part story, Tony (Larry Hagman) has failed in every attempt to rescue Jeannie (Barbara Eden) from a safe that is slated to be blasted to the moon. Now, Jeannie has a new reason to despair: If she remains locked up for a month, Tony will no longer be her master, and she must serve as the slave of whomever rescues her. The couple plans to go out and celebrate, but Tony is called back to the base and assigned to deliver a top-secret film to NASA headquarters. Unfortunately, Tony is not allowed to tell Jeannie anything about his mission, leading her to conclude that he's stepping out with another woman--a misunderstanding that nearly results in a court-martial for our hero. Real-life heavyweight contender Jerry Quarry appears as himself. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Convinced that Tony has created the candy himself, Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) demands that our hero whip up another batch.
