    Never been to a psychiatrist?
    5
Posted by: from Fort Thomas, KY on 07/28/2008This HBO series follows a series of patients visiting a psychiatrist. A half hour at a time. We also see the psychiatrist's family life. Gabriel Byrne plays the Psychiatrist, Paul. Everything revolves around Paul. His patients are played well by a host of well known, and not so well know actors. Melissa George does a wonderful job as the patient who turns into a heart throb. Blair Underwood is Alex the egotistical-vulnerable Air Force pilot. Embeth Daviditz is the wife with a conception problem. And Diane Wiest plays Paul's psychiatrist, who becomes a crucial process of this month long, five days a week process. But must important is the find of the series: Mia Wasikowska who plays the would olympic gymnist, Sophia. (Try to remember that name. Mia is going to be a major star.) If you want action, this really isn't for you. But if you like to delve into what makes people tick, try watching it a day at a time. Little hailed, this is one of the best cable series done.
