google problems with Insignia before purchase1

Purchased this inexpensive TV for a spare room mainly because of its 2 year warranty and was only for occasional use in the spare room. After one year of minimal usage the TV would shut off by itself. You could turn it back on and then 5 to 10 minutes later it would shut off again. I packed it in its original box and took it back to my local Best Buy. I was told they would have to ship it out to their "Geek Squad" for repair and should take about 2 weeks before getting it back. Almost a month passed before I was notified to pick up the TV. Brought it home. It worked for almost 2 days and did exactly the same thing (shutting off on its own) that it did before. Called the store, explained the situation that I did not want to send it out for another repair, that I just wanted store credit for another TV of another brand. I did not want to risk being without a TV for possibly another month and having the same problem again. Called customer service and basically I was told I would have to send it out again. I cannot believe that no one in the Best Buy organization has the authority to issue a store credit, which would go for another TV in their store. I recommend anyone considering a purchase of an Insignia TV to first google the many problems they are encountering.- Internet Connectable? : No

Good tv for the price, very easy to set up and fits nicley on a dresser. You should consider this model for the value and price over other models.- Internet Connectable? : Don't Know

I got the TV home and was suprised at how substanial it felt, nothing flimsy. The setup was easy and quick, great picture, good sound, great price.- Internet Connectable? : Don't Know

Bought this one cause the one I was wanting was out, love this tv, great price, great picture, great sound, hooked it up with hdmi cable and it set it up by itself. I am really impressed with this tv and will buy me another when I need it, and it fits perfect in my camper. :)- Internet Connectable? : No

We purchased this television for our son to use in his bedroom. He is an Xbox addict and there are plenty of HDMI inputs for both the Xbox and DirecTv. The picture is great, sound is great, and the size if perfect for use in a bedroom etc..
We plan on buying another for our daughter.- Internet Connectable? : No

Bought this TV to replace one that was going out on a boat. Had no problems with setup. Works real well. Only big things I could find is that digital signals do not work when the boat is moving.- Internet Connectable? : No

This TV replaced by smaller 19" one in the bedroom. The quality is great for what I use it for, and has enough input options to connect everything. The only thing is the 'fit to screen' and other picture options sometimes do not line up right with what it's supposed to, but not sure if it's the TV or the service.- Internet Connectable? : No
