Now that i needed one for the living room i decided to go with the same brand just a little bigger. I bought the 55" insignia led, picture on it its a lot brighter then the lcd. I got a really good price for the an amazing tv. Would buy same tv over and over again.

I have no need for a tv that connects to the internet so this tv is perfect for me. It starts up quick and at 120hz it easily handles frame rates from the ps3 to uverse with no problem.

Wanted budget friendly TV with good quality. Only other one we considered in our price range was a vizio which was a 50" instead of this 55" and it was $50 more and not as good a picture. Had no interest is smart features..have that in bluray system. Extremely pleased with this purchase.

55" LED TV

Posted by: JERSEY17 from nj on 06/14/2013I have read other reviews on web sites stating the flaw of this particular model and was hesitant at first to buy it but the price was very tempting started at $799 and went down to $599 in a matter of 2 days.It's too good to ignore it so I decided to get it with the idea in mind that I could always return it if I'm not happy(45 days with the premier status).I own it almost a month and a half and seem to be very satisfied and happy.I really don't care about the so called "SOAP OPERA EFFECT" to me if it appears life like the better.I don't mind about the 3d's or smart capabilities( I own a PS3 and a ROKu)which is enough to connect to the internet(it will just raise the price of the unit by another $300-500).my son plays video games(PS3) and I have not heard him complaining about "LAGGING ISSUES".overall it's a good buy for me and saved hundreds of $$$ and could spend the extra money for other things(you have to get a good sound system in order to enjoy this new tv since the speakers are not really enough to bring out the best of your movies/programs).
