Good boombox for the price

Posted by: bagnyc from New York, NY on 04/14/2013A purchase and time wasted I wish I could take back. I bought this online 1-2 weeks ago. It arrived fairly quickly which was good. Upon arrival it did not have a power cord although the online listing says it includes one (and how would one connect a boombox to a power supply without one?! except by using batteries). I spent 45 minutes on the phone until someone agreed to send me the power cord at no extra charge. The cord came a few days later and was the WRONG CORD! Regardless, I used an old cord from another item and quickly learned the radio reception was awful inside my NYC apartment, even with the antenna fully extended. Granted it is located in an inside room not near a window however I had a previous boombox in there for years that worked fine until the antenna eventually broke off (and even minus the antenna, that old radio worked better than this one). I returned it to the store today and will start over on my hunt. Needless to say, a $30 radio was so not worth all that time wasted.

Lasted us less than a month before it broke
