Posted by: nbeck from Eugene, Oregon on 05/19/2013I purchased this sound bar as I was having a little bit of buyer's remorse after purchasing a Bose Solo and thought maybe the Bose sound was pretty good, but if the Insignia Soundbar was pretty decent I'd return the Bose and save myself some money. The Insignia is certainly better than my flatscreen TV speakers, but it just doesn't hold a candle to the Bose Solo. I should have known that all along, but sometimes hearing is believing, as it were.

Easy set up!

Sound bar is good, remote is terrible

Posted by: tmar89 from Whitehall, PA on 05/15/2013The Sound Bar experience is completely killed by a terrible remote. The volume keys are sticky and sometimes do not respond. And sometimes they will take the Sound bar all the way to max or min volume. I couldn't get the Sound Bar to work with my universal remote, and while I really liked the quality of the sound bar, I couldn't take the lackluster remote. I had to return it.

There isn't an extreme amount of low end sound, so if that is what you are looking for, I would suggest getting the external sub woofer. With the external sub woofer attached you will have no issues rattling your house apart.

The sound is much better now and then I added an Insignia sub-woofer making it even better. For a guest room TV I find myself using it as a man-cave now.
