Quick and easy way to scan slides2

I found it easy to set up and operate. Took a while to figure out how to toggle for different options. Very easy to operate. some slides didn't pass through scanner easily but it was probably because of the age of the slides. Worked with it a little and it was fine. Resolution was poor even when digitally seen on computer screen; much worse when projected onto TV. Liked the idea that it would project onto TV and it was easy to connect but resolution left a lot to be desired. My unit left a line (scratch) vertically down hte right side of the image about 20% inside the right margin.3 out of 4 found this review helpful.

I was thrilled to find a Slide scanner that converts slides to digital It was awesome. The device is easy to use and does a fairly good job of scanning. The slides do get caught in the tracks occasionally, but its easy to workaround. With 1000s of slides in boxes, it was really fun to begin scanning them rather than paying all of the money for a professional shop.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

Easy to use. You can scan many slides in a short time, however, dust and bits of dirt are a factor - poor cleaning method. Slides are easy to transfer to my computer. Poor image quality. Images on computer are not as sharp as my slides. I had prints made of some of the slides and these were very sharp, but not the images that were scanned into computer. Also the screen on the scanner is almost useless. You have to look at it straight on - so that means ducking your head down or lifting the device. I would not recommend.16 out of 18 found this review helpful.

I am a professional photographer who dabbles in film in my spare time. I finally made the leap and ordered photo chemicals and in my excitement for them to arrive, I bought this scanner so I'd be ready to develop film as soon as my chemicals got to me. My rating may be harsh just because the quality of photographs is literally my job, but I can't really see how anyone would think that the quality of the scans that this machine produces is acceptable.
The sheer convenience of this scanner is inarguable; the fact that I didn't even need to hook it up to a computer was nice, especially since a lot of stuff requires its own software. Scanning an uncut roll of film was incredibly easy, the mount that you insert into the scanner is very easy to use. The physical usage of this scanner was very efficient, but the quality of the scans was completely awful.
I tried several rolls of film and this scanner not only crops the film significantly, but the actual quality of the scan is very, very poor. I had weird blown out sections on the scans that were not on the film, the colors weren't even close to accurate, and there was a weird noise on each photo that also wasn't on the film itself.
Luckily I was able to return this piece of junk a week after I bought it with my receipt and got a cash refund. I invested $100 in an Epson film scanner that does both 35mm and 120 film and the quality is incomparable; $40 cheaper for a higher-quality scanner with more functionality. It's not as simple and quick to use, but I have gladly traded convenience for superior quality.
If you want something quick and of mediocre quality and don't mind overpaying (it's not Best Buy's fault, though, I don't blame them) then this scanner will be fine. If quality doesn't matter, it really is very easy and quick to use, but if quality IS important, stay very, very far away from this thing.25 out of 25 found this review helpful.

We were scanning slides within five minutes of setting it up. Simple to use, the rapid slide feeder makes quick work of loading pictures. The quality of the scans is equal to the the quality of the slides you start out with. We scanned Kodachrome slides from 1965 and had excellent color and clarity. Overall an excellent value for the price. The only drawback is having to turn it off and on to go from scanning to importing on the computer.14 out of 19 found this review helpful.

Horrible Image Quality1

I have never written a product review in the past, but I'm so disgusted with this so called film scanner that I feel compelled to let others know that this product is a piece of garbage. The image quality is so poor that the scan you get is completely unusable. DO NOT BUY. I sincerely doubt that the favorable reviews on this product were written by anyone who knows anything about image quality. I can only believe the glowing reviews were written by someone working for the company selling this scanner. What a scam. I wasted several hours buying and setting up this scanner. Now I have to spend more time returning it to the store. Shame on Ion Audio.31 out of 47 found this review helpful.

We just got the device for my wife's birthday. She was able to figure out how to use it without any trouble. This will be a great additional to our ability to convert slides and negatives into digital images.8 out of 10 found this review helpful.

I purchased this item to scan my slides for sharing with family and placing them on the computer. The pictures were horrible. I returned it the very next day. It does not deliver what it promises.20 out of 29 found this review helpful.
