Had to buy the JVC AC adapter to speed up the charging, also bought a suction cup mount to make it more usable. The WIFI connection works well, very convenient when used as a remote control. One negative is the mic picks up a lot of wind noise.

Good as Advertised

I feel I got exactly what I wanted, I mounted it under the rear view mirror and it's barely noticeable, my friends all love it and thought it's a great idea, one never knows what might be captured. I like the easy to operate feel, hardly had an issue with it, with the exception of the sound recording, not great but again, it's adequate, besides it's supposed to be used to capture action, and it does. Another nice feature is it can time-lapsed photography, love it, battery use is average at best. definitely would recommend it to others.

Posted by: dentalgeek from Laredo, TX on 04/28/2013I've dropped it, wet it, durtied it, and it's like a little tank. All action cams have terrible wind noise so I didn't give it that hard of a time. Placing electric tape over the mic and then using it outdoors may do the trick. Otherwise great product!

Posted by: TXTechman from Grapevine, TX on 04/22/2013I was looking at the Sony Action Cam but purchased this while on vacation in Chicago because it is waterproof and also because of the included LCD for viewing. I was very disappointed in the performance of the Wifi feature. I tried connecting to the unit with my iPhone 5, Gen 4 iPad, and laptop. I installed to WiVideo app as required and could not get the direct connection to work. The iPhone and iPad find the camera from the Wifi settings but the WiVideo App never finds the camera. I tried connecting the unit to my PC and again the PC finds and connects to the camera. The app starts up and finds the camera, I can see the videos I recorded but I cannot connect and see the live video on my PC. Very disappointed, think I will return and get the Sony unless Bestbuy can resolve the issues. JVC has no phone support, so I am not going to mess around with it much, getting ready for a cruise in a couple of weeks, If all you plan to do is record and playback over an HDMI cable this may be the camera for you.
