The sound is nothing like you can imagine from such a small device. Portability is a must for these kinds of electronics. Connecting the jambox with your music device is so easy. 1 Thing that really is a negative is that at the time of purchase compatibility with windows 7 was a little rocky. I had to some weird technique where when u are trying to download something into the jambox, you would have to unplug then plug the usb cord back into the computer when the downloading bar stops. Only issue right there. Overall though, this has got to be hands down the best mini bluetooth speaker system ever.

Great speaker at a great price

The Jambox is so easy to use and produces great sound quality. I love the compact power of this piece of art. I love the fact that you can customize the voice and language of the player on the Jawbone website. The live audio feature feels like you are attending a live concert. For such a small piece of electronic equipment it packs a punch. The bluetooth sync to smartphone is great. You have all your music at hand. Great for parties and taking out to the patio to enjoy your music. I would highly recommend this device for any music lover.

A snap to set up and use

Posted by: graniteburger from California on 04/14/2013I've tried other compact speakers and I like this one the best. Easy to set up, easy to use and great sound quality. The only negatives I see is the voice that chimes in when your battery is low (which scares me as I'm not expecting to hear a strange voice). The negatives: this device could be cheaper and nicer looking. It's basically just a block. Also, the carrying case is impossible to use and it sticks to the rubbery surface of the Jambox.

Neat Portable Bluetooth Speaker

It's a great speaker for this purpose if you do not want to wear headphones. It would also be a great speaker for working out in the garage and listening to a radio show or music. It's also incredibly small, very easy to set up, and it has good range.
My major qualm with the Jambox is that the sound quality is equivalent to a pair of decent computer speakers or one of those portable boomboxes from the 90's which would be okay if it were half the price. It's also not the type of device that will fill a room or backyard with sound.

If you're looking for a good, small, portable, long battery life, fun looking, loud speaker; The Jambox is for you.

Posted by: Skandalo06 from on 03/31/2013Before get the jambox I have a xtrememac and work good but I really want the jambox because I reed all the reviews and everybody say sound great an clear but when I get home and plug it I was disappointed whit the sound was to low I know it's a small speaker but the xtrememac it's almost the same size and its louder than this one and I returned at the nex day so if you looking for something loud this speaker it's no for you

We are on our third (3rd) one in as many months due to a serious design defect by Jawbone.
Basically, the micro USB breaks and pushes into the unit, making charging impossible
Our first one lasted six months before it broke, the replacement was bad out of the box, and the third lasted 6 weeks before it did the same thing
Jawbone is aware of it, and it monitoring their customer forums, but the issue continues
If you buy one, get the BestBuy extended warranty since you will be needing it. If you go through Jawbone, each exchange takes at least 3 weeks

Cool speaker, non-working technology

Now whenever I try to pair it to my computer or EVO phone, it makes a high pitched hiss sound but won't pair with the speaker. Both devices show it as being paired, either individually or when both are on, but neither work. AllI hear is a high pitched static noise. Even if one is completely shut down. I thought this was a great speaker but now it seems like it has a lot of problems and difficult to maintain connection to paired devices. I've tried resetting the software, unpairing both devices and then only pairing one device, but nothing works. Very frustrating. I wouldn't recommend buying this.
