Synopsis

Synopsis
The smell of trash assails you as you vault over a low dividing wall and right into a pile of refuse. You stand up in disgust but immediately trot down the dank alley before you; there isn't a second to lose in this desperate flight for your life. Your partner silently shadows you as you stalk to the next street. He may be an impulsive psychopath, but right now you have bigger problems. Your pursuers won't be long before they, too, are knee-deep in trash, but every escape holds a possible enemy. You scan the street, assess the possibilities and start to step out of the alley, prepared to casually blend in with the scurrying pedestrians. Just before your foot hits the pavement, your eyes lock onto the crisp uniform of the Shanghai police force bobbing through the crowd straight in your direction. You turn to vault back over the alley wall but hear the shouting voices of your pursuers on the other side. It seems that escape is impossible: how will you get out of this impossible situation?

Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days takes you on a heart-pumping journey through the streets of Shanghai. Play as the psychopathic Lynch or the ex-mercenary Kane as you evade your pursuers and jump, run and fight your way through seedy streets and gritty rooftops. Take on the underworld in this brutal crime shooter but keep an eye on your player — you never know if he'll snap. Fragile alliance multiplayer mode, arcade modes, single-player, online and offline co-op modes offer plenty of opportunities to test your shooting skills as you side with these two unhinged criminals.

Kane and Lynch 2 Dog Days

Posted by: from CT on 05/04/2013This game is an average third person shooter. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Maybe too much swearing and over the top-ness, but multiplayer makes this game better. If you play multiplayer online, there is no drop in drop out capabilities. The competitive multiplayer modes are useless because no one plays online. Online is only good if you plan to play co-op with a friend.

Big Let Down

Posted by: from on 11/16/2010The demo was awesome the full game stinks. Poor controls -They blur out graphic content - just ducking and shooting over and over with a frustrating control scheme. I saw the bad reviews before I bought it but the demo was so cool I had to see for myself. BIG letdown.

Great for a one-time play

Posted by: from West Palm Beach, FL on 11/11/2010This was a pretty great game. The graphics were phenomenal, the story was excellent, and the weapons were fantastic. It's also a great co-op game. The only problem is, I won't play it again. The multiplayer ended up being pointless because I couldn't find a match with enough players. Maybe if they put out a few additional missions as DLC I would play it again, but for now, I'm done. I beat the game in a weekend so, I already traded it in for another game.

Too Short, Too repetitive
2
Posted by: from Appleton, Wi on 09/01/2010The campaign was way to short to begin with. With co-op you can take this short campaign and make it much shorter. The only thing you do is run the streets and shoot people. The game is horribly repetitive online and offline. The online modes are entertaining at first but after a few plays its old and boring. Game as too many glitches...they clearly didn't put time into perfecting this game before releasing it.

Dog Day Afternoon

Posted by: from Game World on 08/21/2010In Kane & Lynch 2's story mode, you take the role of the psychopathic Lynch who is backed up by Kane. The online co-op mode will allow others to play as Kane.Unlike Dead Men,you will only be arm with up to two of any weapon you grab from dead enemies and cannot be swapped between players. The combat system has been modified from Dead Men.You can now take cover through pressing the A button as opposed to being automatic depending on stance. You still have regenerating health, you can get knock down while begin able to immediately get back up.Story mode is only 4-5 hours long, with repetitive gameplay, cover and shoot.Their is a chopper stage which changes things up a little bit but not that much. The A.I. moves while in cover, but they follow the same pattern every time you do that same level over.Controls feel a little clunky with the cover not working to well to your advantage. The graphics are an improvement over Dead Men.Their are times when you shoot an enemy and pixelated images will cover the brutal killings on screen. As far as the camera it seems as if someone is following Lynch, think of the movie "Cloverfield" with it's shaky camera that can be turned off if it makes you uncomfortable. The sound of the guns sound very real and voice acting is alright, some of the dialog during cutscenes could use some work. The multiplayer has Fragile Alliance which returns with two new modes Undercover cop,and Cops & Robbers. This game maybe fun for some but it's very short lived, and not worth the full price of admission.
