Posted by: poorgran from Mississippi on 01/28/2011I got this for my daughter, because I hate hearing people talk about what they "can" and "cannot" put through their disposal. I have had one of these for years and years, and I can put almost anything through it, including, once, an entire cooked turkey carcass! Of course, no peach pits, things like that, but otherwise, I can grind up just about anything! Kitchenaid's instructions may be more limiting, but this disposal is quiet, doesn't vibrate, doesn't get jammed, lasts a long time, and most importantly, is not a prima donna that only takes bread crumbs! Everyone should get one of these! Best Buy's service was good, too.
