Posted by: moranfr from Arizona on 10/29/2010What's to say about a trash compactor? It looks and works just fine. Have owned trash compactors for over 30 years and they haven't changed very much in that time, with the exception of substituting a plastic bag for the heavy-duty paper one.

Decent Compactor

Posted by: AnnimalAnn from Indianapolis, IN on 01/08/2010I had this same compactor and then moved to a house without one. So I bought the same model only in stainless for the new house. I stuck with the same model/brand because I liked the other one and it performed well. This one performs equally as well with the exception of it rattles a little bit when it compacts. The stainless finish also shows fingerprints easily - but that is just the nature of stainless. The bags will also get small tears in them some time when you take them out of the bin. Overall this is a good compactor and I would recommend it. I was a little nervous about ordering a large appliance on line but the Best Buy delivery was great. They did not install because it was a built in and we had to retrofit it into our cabinents otherwise they would have placed it for us.

wow,what have I been missing

Posted by: debbiedel from texas on 11/10/2009I replaced my under-counter beverage cooler with this compactor(my mini-frig had to be replaced every year due to tight enclosure space, no way for air to circulate, thus motor would burn itself out)I have never had a compactor before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I can't believe how much trash can be smashed into one little bag. This is awsome I love it, if we all had one of these our dumps/landfills would'nt be so full. It also has a compartment for air freshner so there is ZERO smell, unlike a trash-can.

Great compactor

There's not a lot to say about a compactor. It's well made and compresses trash very efficently. We would recommend it.
