Wanted some major name brand tower speakers for my living room and saw these almost at half price on black friday so I jumped on them while they were available and I am very pleased with the sound. Playing video games, watching movies and playing music these speakers do it all efficiently. When watching TV shows even background music sounds awesome. Wanted the bigger 8in. icons but found it unnecessary considering that my reciever can't even push to reach the true potential of either size speaker so I went for the 6 1/2. I know these speakers can perform alot better if I had the right power set up, but I really don't know how to get it there. For the most part these speakers are awesome no regrets here.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Fantastic sound for the size5

I have been a proud supporter of the Klipsch brand for years now.
The sound quality of a set of these speakers is fantastic for how small the cabinets are. Even hooked up to a low-end 75W RMS receiver these speakers sound fantastic.
The sales rep was kind enough to humor me through all kinda of test hookups with different receivers in store. I ended up pairing a set of these with a Marantz SR5006.
The removable grills take a bit of getting used to.
Make sure the dual binding posts are linked if only using a single feed for the enclosure.
The plastic feet on the bottom aren't the strongest so i would recommend gentle placing if they need to be moved.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

Cheap plastic legs break & Best Buy service sucks1

I haven't even been able to hear these speakers at my home yet, but I can tell you now it's not worth the hassle. I was comparing these Klipsch to a set of Polk Tsi 400s and the Klipsch and in the end the Klipsch sounded just a little bit bigger, but not a huge difference or anything. The Klipsch went on sale for $170 a speaker so I decided to get these because they were at the time cheaper than the Polk Tsi 400. I also had a bunch of Reward Zone certificates saved up so I would save $140 on top of the total price! I received these in the mail via UPS and upon inspection both speakers were damaged. The legs on them had been broken off on BOTH. I don’t know why they just don’t ship the legs separately it would make much more sense. Anyway I contacted Best Buy and they said I could exchange them in the local store. Upon arrival they had no Klipsch KF-26s in stock contrary to what they said and also was listed on the website that said they had them in stock. I had to order them and it would take 5-7 days to get new ones, great. Also, they ended up charging me $70 more because I had used my Rewards Zone certificates and they also added tax on that costing me $78 even though I had already paid tax for the online purchase. What is the point of being a premiere silver status member if you can’t use the certificates? That’s a bunch of BS considering I have spent over $10,000 at Best Buy in 6 months for my business. They can kiss that business good bye.
In the end you will save more money and time if you just go with the Polk Tsi 400s they are a little smaller and are slightly less powerful than the Klipsch, but at the end of the day at least and hopefully both of them won’t be damaged due to cheap manufactured legs. Also, I cannot stress this enough, seriously consider your local Best Buy customer service before purchasing. I’m not telling you to shop elsewhere, but I know I will not be a customer of Best Buy anymore.2 out of 15 found this review helpful.

O-M-G,,,These speakers are awesome.. I ordered them on Thanksgiving on sale for half price. Got them the following Wednesday. I hooked them up to my Sony Blue-Ray Home Theater in a Box system as the front Left & Right speakers. What a huge difference. With the old small speakers it wasn't really worth listening to music on this system. Tonight I stuck in a a classical CD (Korsakov) and thoroughly enjoyed the music. Next I tried a movie my 14 year old watched with me last week. They really made the movie come to life. There was a train wreck early in the plot. The dynamic range was phenominal. Throughout the entire movie we could now hear back ground noises such as birds, doors opening and closing, tires rolling in the dirt, wind blowing through trees,...just all the minutia we had been missing. I had really wanted the 8" speakers and "settled" for these because the larger ones were sold out at the time. I really made a good choice getting these and am very pleased with the speakers. They are awesome!!!4 out of 4 found this review helpful.

The speakers sounds great. I connected it to a Denon audio receiver with Sony Bravia 3d monitor. I only connected these pair of speakers to a central speaker. I used to use Bose 5 speakers but it did not provide the dynamics I need. It was very easy to set up. This pair of speakers provides crisp sound quality, excellent clarity and great dynamics at action movies. Even though I only have 3 speakers but it already provide the effect I wanted. I plan to buy addition surround sound speakers later. I am very satisfied with the results.5 out of 5 found this review helpful.

I needed a pair of quality speakers for my "man cave." After auditioning several pairs at my local Best Buy store, I chose the Klipsch Icons and am I glad I did.
I get incredible sound out of these speakers. I have a sub-woofer that I was planning on suing with these speakers, but as of right now, the bass that I am getting is just kicking it.
These speakers were a bit more expensive than what I was looking to spend, but I am glad I forked over the extra dough. I am very very pleased with my purchase!

Awesome, I was worried when I listened to these at the store, but when I hooked them up at home I was very impressed. They must have been out of phase at the store because they produced no bass. These speakers are very clear, crisp, and efficient . I have a Yamaha RX- V520 and it pushes these speakers very well. I have a Klipsch RW-10d sub on the way. I hope it will impress as much as the KF-26's. GO KLIPSCH!!!!!!!7 out of 7 found this review helpful.
