Posted by: Zooey2 from Phoenix, AZ on 03/08/2013Plenty of capacity in a very small footprint. Cleans clothes great. Easy to use. And spinning cycles are outstanding, greatly reducing our dryer times. I don't know why people need such large washers. This can fit a full size load and clean it thoroughly and gently. Plenty of options for all types of clothing. Can run very small loads and washer senses load and adjusts accordingly. Very quiet and very smooth, but... the key is proper installation. BB contractors unpacked it, put it in place, and did absolutely nothing to balance it. Washer vibrated unacceptably. My husband came home and looked at it and just leaning on it could see that the feet had not been adjusted properly at all. It was rocking. Another call to BB, another contractor. They came, did their thing in 10 minutes and were gone. Once again, they did not follow the instructions, which my husband verified. Wasn't even close to level. You should use a level in all positions on the top of the washer. My husband spent an hour on the floor re-adjusting all 4 adjustable feet and now it is perfectly level, perfectly quiet, and perfectly spinning. Once you are balanced, this is an outstanding washer. We probably do 4 loads per week or more and after 2 months, seems to be doing great! Saves water, saves energy, too!

Love this new washer!

Posted by: MCJames from Rescue, CA on 12/07/2012First one was delivered damaged but was replaced after a call to LG. This washer has everything I wanted. Front loader, low water/energy consumption, fits in a tight space and can close the door! Small washer does medium sized loads which works for me. Chime at the end of the cycle, just like the laundry fairy has arrived.

Posted by: gio1 from NYC on 11/27/2012Small but hard working. Got a great deal on it. I would say buy if you do not have an extended family and you do not let the laundry accumulate but wash it on weekly basis.

Don't buy this washer!!!

Posted by: ChooseAnotherWasher from on 10/30/2012I purchased this washer on the assumption that LG provides quality appliances. Boy was I wrong. After spending about $1000 on the washer, and owning it for just over a year, it failed. The electric board and the motor were faulty and needed to be replaced. LG referred me to a technician who was great, and fixed it, but LG wouldn't offer and assistance. The fix costed quite a bit of money, and for a single guy who doesn't do a ton of laundry, I couldn't believe they wouldn't extend the warranty for me. Poor quality product, and poor customer service.

Posted by: Amalia5 from Queens, NY on 10/18/2012I am very happy. I own a home for 14 years, I had replaced the washing machine twice in those years. I had purchase them from Sears. Sears is the worse in appliances, it is all plastic and they break within less than 3 years. This one from Best Buy there is no words to describe how wondenful it is & big. The best of this washer, inside is big, looks small in the picture, I guarantee onces you get it you will not be sorry. I just bought a new apartment and for sure I will get this washer for my new home.

Excellent machine, small footprint

Posted by: ITgeezer from San Francisco on 07/05/2012This machine is infinitely better than the dead Kenmore it replaces. Compact washers seem to be leaving the marketplace with only 2 choices at BB.
Following Consumer Report's lead I did not even consider the larger-on-the-outside/smaller-on-the-inside GE model.
I am satisfied with my choice and very impressed by the way the machine calibrates itself to the size of each wash load.

Good washer little noisy

Posted by: jetboy from Honolulu, HI on 06/02/2012I just got the washer dryer unit for my condo today. Did my first load of laundry and noticed that the washer and the dryer both make rattling noises from the side of the unit as it spins. If i place my hand on the bottom side of the washer the noise stops but when i let go it continues to make the noise. It's a soft rattling noise so I can live with it, but for the price i paid i'm a little disappointed. As for everything else it does a great job at washing clothes. The cycle takes the same amount of time as my parents GE front load.

It smells!

Posted by: BustBuyTX from Fort Worth, TX on 05/22/2012I am NOT happy with this washer. I was hesitant to buy a front loader but the sales rep at Best Buy assured me there was no problems with the smell and water sitting in the basin as with previous front load models. Since the day that plugged it in and ran it to clean it, it has smelled. I've used four different types of HE Washer cleaner. You alwasy have to leave the door open, or it just gets worse. My whole laundry room stinks! My washer is supposed to be clean, so my clothes get clean. I should have to "wash" my washer.

I like it

Posted by: MXavier from New York on 03/21/2012I've only done four loads of laundry with this machine and, so far, I am very satisfied. It uses less water so there's a savings there. It spins so fast that it wrings even more water out of the laundry then an ordinary washer. Because of this it spends much less time in my dryer then with my previous washer, saving on gas.
I am very happy with this unit.
(Take your time reading the instructions and getting started, it gets easier. ALSO -- it comes with hoses, no need to buy a set)

Works perfectly so far.

Posted by: Foggs from San Francisco on 02/18/2012This washing machine works as advertised in the 2 months I've had it. No problems whatsoever. It's quiet, has more than enough options for me, and gets my clothes perfectly clean. Excellent choice for a small space. Although the washer can handle more clothes than you would expect given its small size, it is not designed for huge loads. It took a queen-sized bedspread with no problem. But if you have a big family, you may need something larger. It's an ultra-efficient front loader, so you have to bend over to move laundry in and out. And there is no pedestal designed for it by LG - I asked them. So if you can't manage the bending over part, get a top loader - not as efficient as this one, but may have easier access.
All in all, a great choice if you have a small to medium laundry requirement, and a small to medium space to put it in.
It qualified for Tier 2 rebates from PG&E and water company, which helped a lot to reduce the price.
