Great Value5

We picked this television out of a consumers' magazine because we wanted a 50" plasma television with the best true HD picture for the lowest price possible. This TV fits the bill perfectly. Although it has less features than other TVs (like it can't connect to the internet) we're using a Bluray player to do that, so it really doesn't matter to us. This television is an excellent choice.- Internet Connectable? : No

I recently received this tv as a replacement for our Samsung plasma 50 inch tv through our service plan. Our Samsung started to show vertical lines on the screen and we were able to exchange it to this since it was the most comparable. My biggest complaint is the sound, compared to our Samsung the speakers sound weak. This has a higher pic quality, which I can tell, at times. I definitely will have to look into some sort of sound bar or theatre system.- Internet Connectable? : No

Solid Buy for the Price5

We already had an LCD that we were moving back and forth to the bedroom every night. Pain in the neck. So we finally decided to buy a new tv... Went in and looked at the LEDs and LCDs I was disappointed by the LEDs with the higher refresh rate and "soap opera" look. Really wanted to get away from the thick frame.. Always made the tv more dull / cheap.
Did alot of home work Finally narrowed our choice down to a LED Samsung.
Found this tv on the floor as clearance 479$.. 50inch compared to 700-800$ 47-50in led / lcd tv. One can argue it lacks the apps... Or it might get image burn.
First off do you really need a tablet, smartphone, and tv that you can check your facebook on and play angry birds... Thats not cost savy nor worth my time personally.
We have att and our custom gaming computer hooked up to it via hdmi. So the apps arent needed., by a longshot.
Even if we changed our mind a blueray player / sound bar / or a roku is priced at a quarter of the difference $50 - $100. Which would hurt less when this trend passes.
Secondly dont worry about image burn.. this can happen to any lcd - led - plasma all in the same That was an issue 10 years ago the technology has improved. Just keep inmind not to leave the screen on a frozen image for too long. Thats with any tv.
So this was a steal. Unboxed it and set it up.. Quick and easy.. My girlfriend and I couldnt help but smile. Its great for what it is. Honestly we wouldnt have bought it due to not being led or lcd if it was listed for $800+ Keep in mind all the tvs that are out now going on sale are because the 10year mark has hit. New tech will be filling the stores. New $2000 Tvs advertised. Great time to buy if you are looking.
Quick plus list for viewers below.
1. Great for people on a budget.
2. Solid picture,
3. Great sound (we have home theater setup using the optical out)
3. Thin framing as to not take away from the picture.
4. FPS gaming feels great..(Crysis / Battlefield) the field of view allows for you to get emersed into what you are playing.
5. Apartment Lights dont reflect on the screen either which is an added plus.
6. Most of us know are prefered settings... picture wizard is a great time saver when setting up the brightness / contrast.. First time me and my girlfriend have agreed on those settings.- Internet Connectable? : Yes

if your looking for a tv with out internet or 3d. This is the tv you would want to purchase. after months of research and looking at other models. i finally found the tv i was looking for. this is a plasma tv . 50 inches wide. it has a 600hz refresh rate. the picture quality is amazing. If your a sports fan or someone who is into the walking dead. or a Xbox 360 call of duty black ops fan. you can not go wrong with this tv. sound quality is good from this tv . it is excellent hooked up to a sound bar or surround sound. the three hdmi inputs and the digital out optical cable port make this TV very versatile for hooking up to any device easy. ghosting is normal for this set unless your stuck on one image for several days you will have no problems with burning the picture in to the screen. anything hi def looks awesome on this tv as well as blue rays. after adjusting the picture to my liking it was like watching a new tv all over again. i let this tv break in for 225 hours before doing my finale picture and sound adjustments. so if your in the market for a tv . the lg plasma is highly recommended.- Internet Connectable? : No

I actually purchased this LG after returning a Samsung UN46EH6030FXZA, and so far I am not disappointed. The picture quality is great, the sound quality is alot better than reviews led me to believe, and not a bad price for a TV this size. I have this TV connected thru HDMI to both my PS3 and Xbox, and the quality of Blu-Ray movies and video games are stellar! Apparently the picture on a plasma is darker than that of an LED/LCD, but colors are still rich and with a 600hz refresh rate you cant go wrong. I could imagine that the glare would become a headache if placed near a lamp or window, but I dont have that issue, I would have liked to have seen a shorter remote and more built in features but other than that, a great overall product.- Internet Connectable? : Don't Know
