    Posted by: from MA, US on 05/10/2013I am doing a lot of research these days trying to find my next TV. currently I own Samsung LCD 7th series (LN52A750) and am vary happy with the picture quality and how good it handle fast motion pictures. I might be a weird guy but... when i buy a TV, i can't really compromise on picture quality. everything else, i care less about. PPL out there were talking so great about this LG TV. i went to BestBuy store to check it out. in the store they had some movie on screed (not the usual feed that all other TVs get). the picture quality at the store wasn't amazing so i asked the rep, what's up? he said that it must be the movie. i let the doubt take over and took one to try at home. at home, connecting to FIOS and BlueRay 1080P feeds - with both i was disappointed! you can notice pixels from 4 feet and longer away. you can see fast-motion actions getting dragged across the screen - no different quality from what i've seen on all other LED panels. I returned it two days after. the guy in the store confirmed that it is not as great as people market it. last word about the magic remote control - it is different - you will need to get used to it. give it a chance.

Simply a nice picture, Totally impressed with LG products. Magic remote is a real nice change from your basic remote.

    Good product with few significant flaws

    Posted by: from manchester, CT on 04/13/2013The biggest issue I face is the screen reflection. The TV comes with a glossy screen and it is extremely reflective. I think this is a big time deal breaker for me. If you are like me and you love sunlight and bright lighting in your living room, this TV is not for you. Even with very small, not so bright lamp just across the room, the video is just not visible. We had to rearrange our living room furniture to avoid glare! If I had known about this issue I wouldn't have bought it. Picture Quality: I would say this is definitely a very strong attribute for this TV. Video quality is excellent. The contrast, color balance, uniformity, black levels all are top notch. Remote: The magic motion remote is OK but not great. Even simpler things take three four clicks (yes this TV has a remote and the magic motion has a gyroscope that works like Wii Remote). For example if you want to change from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2, you will have to select Home, select input list and then click on input type. In my earlier TV which was a first generation LG LCD all you have to do is to press the Input selector and it cycles through the different input types. This to me is the most annoying part. If you have a cable box, a ps3 and Wii then this gets too old too fast. Smart Apps: All the smart applications work as advertised. Coolest thing is if you are like me who has lot of downloaded content in your PC, this TV comes with built-in Wifi and is DLNA certified. So you can actually stream wirelessly almost all video content (It supports avi, mpg files and rest you will have to convert) to the TV. Sound: For such a slim TV it has a surprisingly loud speakers. If you are not an audio aficionado you can probably get by with just the inbuilt speakers. One quirky thing is that if you connect this TV to an optical output (Home Theater or a Receiver) it doesn't automatically mute the TV speakers. You will have to manually mute the TV lest you will end up hearing echo.

The dimensional quality of 2D content is stunning and the 3D is very enjoyable. 3D synthesis is fun. The cheap theater-style glasses work for us, especially when friends are over. The interface is excellent. The remote works like a Wii remote, which is OK, but makes setting up even a computerized remote like Logitech's difficult. Also, be aware that although the literature talks about Skype readiness, you will have to purchase the current LG camera at extra cost. When I complained to LG about this not being obvious from their box copy and advertising, they were unsympathetic.

    Posted by: from CA on 12/30/2012I have had this TV for a few days now and am very impressesd with the video quality and 2d to 3d conversion capability... instantly convert your non 3d console games to 3d.... Fifa 13 looked amazing with 3d! Also tried ice age 3 blue ray 3d and it was truly stunning... The magic wand is great and love being able to search internet via voice... has one of the best and accurate voice/speech recognition capabilities i have seen. Very happy customer here...

No lag on gaming when set to game mode and Blu-Rays look amazing. Definitely happy with LG. the remotes easy to use if you have ever owned a Wii and if you know anything about any electronic then set up is fairly simple and easy to find your way around. 2D to 3D conversion works well with football most and many others. 3D for 3D capable Blu-Ray movies is an awesome experience while I haven't messed with 2D conversion for movies much yet. I would recommend to anybody that's on the wall about buying a 3D tv if you plan on buying 3D movies.

The standard 2D HD looked great in the store, we opted to have the Geek Crew mount the TV and connect it to some new home theater items we purchased. (By the way the Geek Crew did a fantastic job, professional, neat, money well spent) This was during the daylight and the picture seemed ok. When we got home later in the evening and sat down to watch our new toy we discoverd the images (2D, HD) almost acted like stop-motion, and fast action seemed to be blurry right behind the moving image. But worst of all was the reflections of our overhead lights in the living room, everytime the screen went to a darker image, there were the lights, perfect mirror images of our ceiling mounted lights with this nice rainbow effect streaming out from them. I haven't even metioned the remote, its like playing wth laser pointer only not as accurate. The curser keeps dissapearing so you have to shake the remote to get it back on the screen. Sorry but this TV is headding back tomorrow.
