Great system for someone not wanting clutter

Posted by: from Texas on 04/05/2013I originally planning on buying a more expensive sound bar or 2.1 surround sound system & was actually looking at them in the best buy store, when I explained to the worker that I really didn't have a problem with my tv sound just wanted a little bit more bass and "rumble" when I'm watching movies with explosions..etc... Also that the price didn't matter. Well he said if your just looking for more bass this one would be the best and isn't nearly as expensive as the $550+ ones I was looking at, which surprised me that he'd direct me to a lower costing one. Well he gave me a run down of all the features and wireless subwoofer, then came the sound test, he turned on the Bluetooth on the sound bar and it connected immediately to his phone and he started playing music, he turned it up to 85 and everything sounded great especially the bass(which is really all I wanted). It was so loud and sounded so good that another customer walked up and asked if that was the soundbar. When the worker said yes he said ill take it! Now when I got home of course my wife was happy because I originally told her I was spending $650 at least and then I told her the price, she could careless how it sounded! Haha so the hooking up part was easy less than 10 min the manual is very self explanatory as far as settings, well after a few days with it I realized my tv speakers were nothing compared to this not that they were bad this system is just that much of an upgrade, I've only got the volume level up to 35 without it being too loud or hearing my wife telling me to turn it down(the best buy worker had it up to 85) . Bluetooth feature is great can stream music from phone, YouTube, pandora and any other music device with Bluetooth capabilities also had USB on front for flash drive with music on it.. This feature also saved me money because I was going to buy a Bose radio for my iphone5 and also so my wife can listen to music while shes cleaning, which now I no longer need. The sound settings are great subwoofer level can be adjusted with remote on LCD screen that's on soundbar. Has a setting on Soundbar remote that will automatically turn it on when tv is turned on, but still be able to use soundbar remote for volume. Overall very satisfied with it! Sorry for long story just wanted you to feel like you we're there! By the way I have it hooked up to an LG 60" 3d tv.

Posted by: from Fullerton, CA on 03/30/2013Because this is a newer model, the lack of of customer opinions made me hesitant to pull the trigger. But I can honestly say that it has exceeded my expectations. The setup is very simple. Bluetooth worked flawlessly on first attempt. It has nice clear highs and mids, and the bass is nicely balanced. Like another reviewer, I've found that 3D surround mode at a low volume level is more than adequate for late night listening in a small to medium-sized living space. It isn't going to replace a true 5.1 or 7.1 surround system. But for those looking to reduce their AV footprint in the living room - especially the cable sprawl - the features and sound quality make this a worthy investment.

Posted by: from St Louis,MO on 03/25/2013This sound bar is awesome! I use it with my LG 55' LED TV. It was very easy to set up and the wireless sub is the icing on the cake! It was also very easy to send my music from my iPhone to the sound bar! The music sounded amazing! You can not go wrong with this system!

Posted by: from Atlanta on 03/25/2013I bought this primarily to pair with my new iPad to listen to music in my basement while I workout or while friends hang out down there. I looked at other soundbars (Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic etc) as well as the BT portables (Soundlink II and Big Jambox) and the LG NB3530A took the prize. I especially didn't care for the portables. They both sound ok for their size but I don't need to move my speakers around so I wasn't willing to sacrifice sound quality for size. Setting up the LG was idiot proof. I didn't even need to open the manual. Plug both speakers in. Turn the unit on. The bar automatically syncs with the sub. Set the input to BT (bluetooth duh;) and have my iPad discover the LG device and voila! GLORIOUS MUSIC! The unit has several EQ presets but for compressed music through bluetooth, the "Upscaler" preset sounds the best by far! Music is bright, clear and pretty full throughout the highs, mids and lows. If you need more bass, you can adjust the sub to your taste though it can get muddy if you get to crazy. Another thing to note is the rock solid bluetooth range. I am currently sitting with my iPad about 60+ft away on another floor of the house and the music never hiccuped once as I walked to this spot. I've heard other units can fizz out at around 10ft. So there's that. You just can't get a better performing 2.1 soundbar at this price point period!
